Dreadnought Avenger Brush

It's okay. You get what you pay for. The first two times that you use it, you'll be spending a lot of time picking stray hairs from the brush off of your face. But, what do you expect for less than twenty bucks for a shave brush? After about three uses, it stops shedding so bad and becomes an ok backup brush. It's definitely worth buying if you're just starting out.

Caveat Emptor. Pay very close attention to the size information for the this brush. The "Avenger" is a travel size brush that is sure to disappoint shavers new to the the wet shave experince. The bristles are very stiff and it is very difficult to work up a lather. A much better brush is the Escoli @ $12.95 or for a step up to much more comfort is the Parker Razor Co. at $25. The Escoli, a great brush for beginners, is a full size badger brush that is stiff, exfoliates well, doesn't shed bristles and becomes very comfortabble with use. I should have run away from the Avenger when the 5 star reviewer said Dreadnought had provided the product for his review.

Don't notice it helping my shave and I find a few bristles come off each time I use it.

shedding hair for the last 6 months at every shaving. The handle varnish peeled and exposed the wood. and finally yesterday the handle came unglued leaving me with an unsuable brush. Poor quality and deceiving. They have great shaving cream but this brush is of very poor quality.

I just started using this brush bought a few cheap ones. The bristles kept falling out and getting in my razor. But so far this brush is soft gets a good head of foam only face without the "shedding bristles". So far so good.

Bristles are too stiff. Not what I was expecting.

Like the price, but don't like the fact that I've been losing bristles every day since I got this. Can't recommend it, unfortunately.

I like this brush, but it is very small. I was actually surprised at how small the bristle area was.
