When my daughter started ice skating, I decided to return to the ice myself. Turned out that ice skating is not like riding a bicycle and as long as its been I had to basically learn again from scratch. So I ended up out there taking lessons right next to her.The rental skates provided by the rink proved more trouble than not. Even though nominally the same size, the fit was different every time. And it was hit or miss whether the blades were properly sharpened. I started looking for my own skates and the choice was either between cheap junk or very expensive. Then I found these. A reasonably low price, in decent quality. And unlike most footwear I've tried these fit right out of the box.These aren't skates for high level competition, but that's okay. I wasn't looking for that. I was looking for value for the money and, so far, that's exactly what they provide.

I play hockey, but I decided to try figure skating as well and joined my colleges club team. The skates have been good to me.They can handle jumps and turns fine. I accidentally got a size a bit too small but I stretched them out with a shoe stretcher and now they are fine.Overall they are comfortable and have helped me progress in figure skating.Only problems I found were that they cannot be baked because they use a composite heel instead of wood. There was also a slight stickiness on the side of the blade, but nothing that messes with skating. You just need to rub it off a bit.I am happy with my purchase, because it is affordable and good quality. If you are starting out I'd reccomend trying these out!

The skates were delivered earlier than expected. The box was slightly damaged, but the skates were in good condition. The size was correct. I was able to use them immediately. Like other reviews, the laces were kind of 'weak' and they are too long. I have to tugged them into the boots (but they didn't snap even when I pull hard during tying). I found some of the screws below the boots were not tight and I just use a screw driver to tighten them. I used to wear rented skates and I had blisters every time (I just picked up skating no long ago). I felt every comfortable and didn't develop blisters when I wear my Botas skates. However, I still need to get use to the feel as it is much lighter than the rented skates.

These skates are very nice , well made skates. I bought this pair for my son in law. I bought my woman’s pair last winter. Both of us agree, the skates are super nice but the laces are inadequate,,,, they are synthetic and not thick cotton so they do not have the pull needed to lace to perfection. I will be shopping for two new pairs of laces within the next few days .

I loved the fit and the overall feel of these ice skates. I'm a relatively new skater and these did a lot of good for me. However, I'm returning them because I found out recently that the blades were way too thin. When I attempt to do crossovers my front skate slides way too far away and made me take a fall. Maybe they're meant for thin athletes, but my coach has never seen blades that thin. Ironically, as the other reviewers have said, the strings are weak and thin too. Getting new strings would easily fix the problem though.

Skates are a comfortable fit! I bought these for my son who needed them for ice skating lessons. The fit was perfect and he says they are very comfortable too! They also came pre-sharpened which was a life saver because he needed to be able to use them right away!

Although I didn't get the better of skates from Botas, the seller was fantastic, the skates are great, and work for my purpose. Thanks for fast shipping!

Achtung, das sind keine Eiskunstlaufschuhe wie beschrieben. Die Schuhseiten am Knöchel sind sehr instabil und in der Gebrauchsanweisung am Schuh steht auch ausdrücklich das diese Schuhe weder für Kunstlauf und sonstige Sportarten sind sondern nur für den Freizeitsport. Wenn man also Schuhe für den Vereinssport sucht, sollte hier von die Finger lassen.Ich bin sehr endtäuscht, denn ich habe 114 Euro bezahlt und die Returesendung geht nach Las Vegas und kostet dementsprechend. Und wer weiß ob das Paket überhaupt dort ankommt und wie viel Geld ich dann überhaupt wiedersehe.
