Superb value for money
Opted for this during an Amazon offer and this product has been nothing but superb since. Great quality, easy to install and most importantly - fast! Obviously you can find better alternatives but at this price it is very hard to beat. Recommended.

For gaming / basic boot drive it is decent. heavy data tasks is a no
If you dont know the ins and outs of SSD caches, slc, mlc and tlc I will summarise it for you. Cheaper ssds usually forgo a lot of the fancy tech and therefore slow down when big files are being written to it and also when youa re transferring loads of small files from one place to another. think of moving a photo album as a good example. However, if youare just installing windows, doing basic browsing and installing games, this drive presents good value and has a nice build quality, although it is plastic it has a nice finish and decent speeds even when sacrificing all other features.

Quality SSD
I have been using SSD for over 10 years now, today a 120gb SSD costs less than £20 and they are also 5 times faster and reliable then the ones I used previously 9 years ago. I normally buy 120gb SSDs normally to upgrade older laptops or use them in system PC builds. I find that These Gigabyte drives are great for this purpose. I find it works lot better on older laptops, unlike some other SSD I have used before from other brands sometimes the SATA driver wouldn’t pick up, with these there’s no need to flash the bios or firmware especially on older machines. I haven't seen these fail after using these on about 32 laptops. The performance is good, improves boot up speed dramatically. I recommend these for most machines unless you need a faster SSD for high end laptops otherwise these will provide the performance you need.

Replacement Hard Disc Drive..
Bought this to clone my existing old PC HDD to as it's become noisy..it's fitted in a spare bay on a 2.5" adaptor ready for cloning via free cloning software..which i've downloaded.which I plan to do shortly after watching internet tutorial's as I'm not a "computer techie"..it seems fairly straightforward..I've given it 4 stars initially but I'm sure it will be fine..no problem from ordering to delivery so at this stage i'm very happy with my purchase. Thank you!!

Great value (at £15.47) and faster than advertised in my experience.
If you scroll right down to the official, full colour manufacturer's advert it claims speeds of 500MB read and 380MB write. Well, I tested it using my favorite little home build and I got more than 550MB read speed and a surprising 500MB write speed. I ran the test four times and and it only varied + or - 1MB on all figures.I suppose the hardware makes a difference. If you're interested, I've put an A10 APU on an ASRock A88M Mini ITX motherboard with 8GB of RAM and no graphics card. All open air too, just on a wooden plinth. Low budget and very effective.A little tip: there should be a setting in your motherboard's BIOS which may improve the performance of SSD's. Just looking at the BIOS on my other computer, with a Gigabyte mobo, there's a section marked 'Peripherals' with a line that says "OnChip SATA Type" giving three options: Native IDE, RAID or ACHI. If it's on the traditional IDE setting I'm told it will limit the maximum speed but if you change it to ACHI it should allow the full potential speed of an SSD. I only heard that recently and I haven't fully tested the theory yet but it does seem about right.

good SSD
I've bought a few of these in the past and I consider them good value for cash, a well-known brand, and a good performance drive. I will buy it again . and I would recommendI keep buying them lol

Good Quality, Fast Working, Easy to Install
Bought this drive to upgrade an older laptop which had an old hard drve fitted.Didn't want an expensive SSD due to the age of the laptop. This drive is made to the same standard as almost all of the modern alternatives. The drive was easy to format, once placed in the laptop and the operating system installed without issues.I noticed a significant improvement from the old drive and it has given the laptop a new lease of life. The laptop has been in daily use since this drive has been installed and it's performing as well as much more expensive SSD drives, so happy enough to recommend it as both a replacement for old Hard drives and as a medium for storage of data ( in an external case).* Amazon has loads of cases which take this type of drive and it makes data storage cheap and straightforward.

Exactly what's expected
I installed this in an old laptop so I can't comment on actual read/write speeds. It does seem to give a consistent performance, the laptop boots up in no time and seems to work without hiccups. It is definitely a very good value for money, gave a new life to my old computer that was unusable after the Windows 10 upgrade.I can definitely recommend if you need a cheap SSD, I had no issues in the last 6 months.
