One is fine, works great, wish I had 2. The other one is broken. It burned me pretty bad after it was plugged in BY ITSELF into a usb charger for a while. I was going to leave it there to have an easy usbC port near me. But that was definitely not going to work. I tried the other one and it wasn't getting warm. I tested them both and found the warm one is drawing current all by itself so there must be a short inside. I'm hoping the seller will replace the one, bc I like and am using the other and would prefer to not have to ship both back to gamble on another pair.UPDATE: The seller reached out IMMEDIATELY to correct my order, asking me to verfiy my address to ship me replacements; and they did, and FAST. Let's repeat. They emailed me 1st, after seeing my review, even though I was waiting for my review to go up before I emailed them for a replacement. They saw it 1st and were more in a rush to fix than I was. THAT'S customer service.

I tried to use this device to connect a usbc to usbc cable to my Oculus quest to utilize quest link. Seems that type of activity is too demanding for the adapter. I tested it in other respects and it was fine. However I don't believe the power and usage is consistent enough for this. Tested beween my laptop with built in usb c and did not experience the same issues. So yeah, the adapter while functional for less demanding tasks couldn't do Quest link.Other than that build seems good. Works for basic data transfer and charging.

Does not allow for connecting a USB-A video adpter to a USB-C connection.Data trafer thru tuis device is very slow. I have a solid state hard drive which when connecred to a USB-A connection it transfers at 3gb or better. When connected direct to a USB-C connection goes at 3 gb or better. When connected to the same USB-A slot using this to transfer it to USB-C the data tranfer speed is less tha 1 gb.

I’m using it to connect my Dell Dock to my laptop which doesn’t have a usb c port. I had to give it three stars for the fact that it doesn’t allow for video, which it didn’t specifically say in the description that it didn’t like others I had looked at. Other than that, it’s great for connecting usb c devices to a usb a port. The other functions of the docking station work as far as usb connectivity go. Great adapter, just not exactly what i was hoping for.

I bought this adapter and had issues using it with a Trendnet USB to 5 Gbe LAN adapter. I then bought the Electop adapter and had no issues with it. Recommend the similar Electop adapter instead of this adapter.

Hi,I searched for USB-C to USB and this is exactly what it is. You can plug a USB-C cable into it and then plug it into a USB port. I was looking for USB -> USB-C so I could plug my hard drive into the USB-C port on my computer. My bad.These things are made very well, I just don't have a need for them.. YET.. but I am certain I will.

Bought this for usb c charging cables for my phones. So far they work as intended without any issues. I mistakenly thought the description said it did support quick charge. Went back and looked again after they already shipped and saw it said Does Not support quick charge. Lesson learned, always throughly read the description :)

I wanted a solid adapter that would reliably connect my old laptop USB A port to my new USB C cable for an external drive.This arrived promptly, was a solid build and worked without any issues. This was also a cost effective solution - not the cheapest available, but looked a far better build quality. As there were 2 in the set I've got a spare if I ever lose one.

Handy for connecting my Canon to the laptop directly with the USB C lead that came with the camera.Nice and fast for the data transfer, haven't had the chance to try the power delivery aspect, but that's not really high up on the agender.

These do the job and never had a disconnection during use , my only concern is that they are a little tight fitting on the usb c end. Otherwise , something I carry everywhere in my bag.

Why call the thing an adapter? Wouldn’t work with my usb to hdmi cable with either my tablet or laptop. Doesn’t seem to adapt to much. Misleading! Garbage.

Bought pair of these and connected to ipad pro went to unplug but adapter too hot to touch. Thought it might be a suspect USB port tried on 3 different units both adapters ran too hot to touch even without anything attached to them as an out put. be very wary when using
