My bunnies really love this hay
Every time I open the big box of Oxbow Western Timothy Hay, there’s this really nice, fresh smell that hits you — like legit good hay smell. As soon as I lift the lid, my two buns come running and start munching way more enthusiastically than usual. It’s like they know it’s the good stuff! They’ve been eating this hay forever, and honestly, it’s the best thing for their teeth and digestion. Since they’re getting older, I also give them Oxbow’s vitamins and supplements for joints and digestion, which keeps them hopping around without any drama. The hay itself is all-natural and fresh, and the 25 lb box lasts a long time, so I’m not constantly worried about running out.

I bought for my bunnies and they love it ,it is very tightly packed in the box . You definitely get the box stuffed for what you pay for vs the store bought

Great for buns
My bunnies have loved this hair for years. Some boxes have different levels of quality, but they always eat it anyways.

Watch the texture of feeding to bunnies
I had been buying this hay for a couple months for my bunnies. I realized the texture was different in the latest bale, it looked more like grass and was pretty soft. After feeding this to my bunnies, one of them went into GI stasis. Wouldn't eat, wasn't moving- which is very dangerous for a rabbit. I took him to the ER for this. A week or two later my other bunny stopped eating. His poop got very dark and small. Nothing in their diets had changed from their norm. I started buying a different type of hay and I mixed it with the grass like hay- I was still unsure if the hay was the culprit. When I ran out of the second type of hay, I solely fed this bale of grassy hay for a week.... Small dark poops returned and my second bunny got sick again. It's definitely the change in the hay because they get a different kind now and haven't had any issues since switching. Hope this helps someone decide if they want to change up what they give now... Just be careful.

Solid but not consistent
I've ordered the 9 lb box of timothy hay numerous times for my rabbit. It's a definitely a staple around here and my rabbit seems to enjoy it. They're healthy and eating well, so I'm pleased. I also like how economical and convenient it is. However, my my box of hay from a recent order was awful. It was dusty and hardly had any long strands of hay. I probably tossed over half the box because my rabbit wouldn't eat it and would just throw it around. I just got a new box and it's much better. I'll continue to buy this hay but keep in mind that it's not always consistent.
