Works with xbox original and ps2 perfectly. Makes laying in bed a breeze. I can lay 20 feet away with extreme comfort. That said, the cord if you can call it that, is more a thin piece of paper thin plastic wire..so be responsible. It doesn't feel flemsy or overly cheap.....but it is no otter box either.

As someone who owns numerous consoles and enjoys playing classic games (and very much prefers the GameCube controller to the Wiimote for Super Smash Bros Brawl), this is the perfect item. The recoiler is manual, but smooth. It is a PS2 extension without using any additional adapters, and can work with the Original XBox or Gamecube/Wii with the use of the included adapters.Just to avoid confusion, this device will NOT allow you to use an XBox controller on your PS2, or a Gamecube Controller on your XBox, or any other combination you can think of. Nor is it intended to do that. It is merely a multi-platform extension cable and it does a good job of this.The cable itself is thin and flimsy but has held up surprisingly well following months of being on the living room floor of a lazy bachelor's pad, where SSBB and drinking was a pastime. That's some serious abuse. I had bought four of these so that my Gamecube controllers could reach all over my living room to my Wii, and all four plugs fit fine inside the ports on the Wii. It also worked well with the XBox. I don't think I have ever used this with my PS2 or PSX but I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't.The review page asks me to rate how much fun this game is. I think that may be due to a mis-classification on the part of the seller, as recoiling it isn't really a game. Though I suppose in the right mindset, racing to recoil these things with a friend could be a game, so I gave it 5 stars.

It does the job, but (at least both fat and slim PS2) has trouble with controller extension chords because there isn't enough power to support great cable length. So what happens is the controller with occasionally cut out for a second or two.

Fantastic extension cable! I've been using it for weeks now and have had absolutely no issues. The cable itself is very tough (seems metallic), so it can probably take a lot of abuse. I'm currently running the cable underneath a floor rug and it works great. A must have if you own a ps2!

Evidently Amazon thinks this is a game. While it's not really "fun" on its own, it makes playing my xbox and PS2 more fun because I can recline on my couch instead of leaning over the arm rest. Extension works great with xbox and PS2 (I don't have a GameCube). I also like that it recoils neatly for storage. The only thing is that you have to manually wind it up, whereas the word "recoil" might imply that it winds on its own.

This extension works good with the original controllers (PS2 and GameCube) but not with the dancing pad it does not work at all. To Bad!!

I bought this for my PS2. My old wireless controller was no longer working. This was a good alternative to buying another wireless controller, since you can only find off brand ones in the box-- which may or may not be reliable.You just plug your controller into the slot on the top and the extension will let you play games across the room. It works as good as if the controller was directly plugged into the system, there is no lag time. I like the options to use it with a variety of old systems.The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that the way it rolls up isn't great. You have to keep turning the circle to get it to roll up and it's very manual and takes awhile. The cord looks like it could kink if you don't take good care of it.I'm happy with this for now. I think it beats the alternative of buying a wireless controller that may or may not be reliable (or have lag time). It's a bit cheaper, too.
