... the fact that the camera/light wire is just floppy wire means you've got the classic "can't push rope" problem. It simply won't go anywhere at all in the state it's sold. However, if you buy some clear plastic tubing about 3/4 inch across with about a half inch hole, and about 3 feet long, it's rigid enough to push through that. Once it's inside the stiffer tube, you can then push that into things like toilet u-bends and the like with no problem.

Does the Lizard Cam function well? If you consider the price the answer is yes. The picture is sometimes fuzzy until you get it positioned correctly. It does not function like a professional ( much higher-priced unit). If anyone complains that it does not give bright, sharp, well delineated pictures, you need to dig into your pockets and pull out several hundreds of dollars and go purchase one that does. For what I paid the Lizard Cam works well.

While it was still working, the picture quality was good and it was simple enough to operate. It just quit working after being used only twice. I didn't drop it or anything like that. I did not use it in or near any water. I never got it wet. I didn't leave it lying in the sun or inside my vehicle on a hot day. All I did was to try and turn it on the other day and it would not stay on. The screen would display momentarily and then it would go blank. I changed the batteries and still it would not work properly. Just to be sure, I even checked to make certain the batteries were properly inserted. No improvement. I didn't loan it out to anyone and nobody else had used it since the last time I had used it, so it's not like someone else got ahold of it and broke it. I have no explanation for why it quit working. And there was nothing in the instruction sheet explaining how to diagnose the issue or troubleshoot the problem.

iread the reviews should have listened but the mechanic on board was so convincing so i tried down a sink drain whenthe ilghtdisappeared from view so did my image itried moving it about but that just gave me a red screen no image next a fish bowl i did get an image it was somewhat better for me it may be a great kids toy but for adults i,m not buying it

Good for looking under the dashboard of a car. Hookups behind large electrical appliances, under the seat of cars, etc.

easy to use, however the camera does not pick up images very far (over 2-3 feet)

To cheap to be usable even in a semi light room it can only see about 4 onches infront of it and it only has enought light to see one inch infront of it in unlit area an then it's hard to see due to flare from its own light

It definitely serves its purpose - needed to find a missing earring!

I bought this product and it was delivered to me in great time but it does not work I just took it out of the box and went to use it today and the screen does not come on you cannot view anything on the screen but the light does come on at the end of the cable
