SureFlapAnimo Activity Tracker and Behavior Monitor for Dogs

I use this on our hunting dog for tracking his energy output, very interesting data. This will help to adjust food levels and rest the dog when he's burnt out. Highly recommend!

I bought both FitBark and Animo health trackers.Animo App is much more intuitive than FitBark. Petcare put a lot of thought into the product as well. The set up is also much nicer than FitBark. Lastly, using a battery may seem like a bummer but it lasts and makes the product very low maintenance as compared to FitBark (which requires regular charging). I do not understand the low ratings on Amazon.Still, I am returning the product.My dog is a 7 pound chihuahua and it is rather large for him. Sometimes it travels towards the front and causes discomfort as his neck is small and short. For some perspective, the length of the product is more than half the length of my dog's neck.

The device stops working working randomly. The seller's website does not have a solid place for obtaining support. The links provided for an FAQ were broken until I brought that to their attention. Now that the FAQ links are working they are very basic and only offer simple obvious suggestions to 5 issues. I used their web contact form to reach support and received a confirmation email and ticket #. After 10 days, no response of any kind. I reached out them on Twitter. After 3 days they responded asking me to contact support. I reiterated that I had already opened a ticket. They asked for the ticket number and said they would look into it. Didn't hear anything more event after trying to reach them again on Twitter. Sending product back.

My dog's vet wants her to lose some weight. This helps me keep track of how much activity and calories she is burning on a daily basis. After a week the Animo sets goals for you dog for both the amount of activity and calories burned. If you meet the goals, you get gold stars! It also keeps track of how well she sleeps at night. The Animo has helped me to make sure my dog gets more exercise than she was before I got the Animo. The reason for the 4 stars is sometimes the Animo doesn't sync right away and you have to try to sync it a second time. Otherwise, I would highly recommend the Animo.

After installing the app and setup account, now the app hangs and crashes every time it is restarted. The screen says it is not responding, and the feedback link also hangs and crashes.

This is a product for those who are obsessed with their dogs. Works well with the app and so far it’s been a few months and I haven’t had to change the battery! I can set goals for my dog and get a notification when she completes it! Fun but overall there really isn’t a need to have it

It works, and it looks nice (and doesn't look as much like a shock collar as the fitbark in my opinion) but I don't think it's as good as others, and I'm returning it. It is very limited and imprecise - it gives data in 30 minute increments and only to the nearest 1/4 minute with no option to export the data. The barking doesn't seem to catch most of my dog's barks and there's no way to get notified when your dog is barking, plus that's also in 30 minute increments. The calorie tracker works but seems to cut out its monitoring for a few hours most nights, not sure if that's just a defect of my unit. Sleep tracking can only be as early as 10pm to 3am or as late as 2am to 7am and it is the same every night, it doesn't automatically figure out when your dog is sleeping, so if you have a weird or irregular schedule, that could be an issue. Ultimately I got a dog tracker to quantitatively track how anxious my dog is while I'm away at work and how long it takes her to settle down after I leave, and it's only ok at both of those tasks. If you just want to make sure your dog is getting enough exercise every day, then it should work fine, but I was looking for precision and I'm going to get a fitbark.

The media could not be loaded.  I originally purchased this tracker for my very anxious Vizsla. Ensuring he was getting enough rest was vital to his training. As he had allergies, the shaking and scratching indicators were also very attractive (but both are also stress signals). As others point out, the device needs to get to know normal for your dog so you have to wait 14 days for shake and scratch data, but that was fine for me!He was very anxious about hands approaching him. We had a different tracker previously which required you to press to sync, which became a bit dangerous. The Animo syncs regularly by itself! No hands needed! (You have to be in range of course).Sadly, our V crossed the rainbow bridge, but we've got a new puppy and it's back to being super useful! I love the sleep score over night, especially when you're training a pup, and day time rest.I'm surprised to see poor reviews here as our experience has been amazing. I recommend it regularly, and always get questions about it on my IG when I share the information.
