How To Build & Power Tune Weber & Dellorto DCOE, DCO/SP & DHLA Carburettors 3rd Edition (SpeedPro)

Good intro reading on Webers and Dellortos
It is a good introductory book but too generic and not precise to specific carburetors such as different type of Webers have different float level settings. The book make you think float levels range 5.5 to 7.5 mm but a Weber 40 DCOE has 8.5 mm instead.

Good but a little hard to navigate
The book is good but a little hard to navigate. One thing I found lacking was more information on overal function - maybe with sketches demonstrating the role of the various parts. There is a "How it Works" section but it is quite brief and lacks functional diagrams. There is very little on the Dellorto accelorator pump lever and adjustment other that (I'm paraphrasing) "try not to tamper with the adjustment". Still I'm glad I bought the book.

what you see is what you get
The book advertised and it's description on Amazon was exactly what was supplied.Helps to know what is advertised is what you get, all my transaction have been the same.Took a little longer for it to come to Australia, but we are a long way from the shores of USA,just thought with modern transport it would be a little quicker, maybe it was customs delay?

Where have you been all my Alfa Romeo life
Invaluable for selecting Weber or Dellorto components when setting up for a specific engine configuration. Specifically Weber emulsion tubes. No more guess work as Des hit the nail on the head. I have an NGK AFX O2 setup with a super sensitive NTK O2 sensor installed to assess results. From his component selection guide I only had to make minor adjustment to get the setup perfect.

Great big color pictures
Great big color pictures. Good info but a little light on the deep tuning info, but great for introducing beginers.

Excellent book to learn the basics
Having read this book I now have a thorough understanding of how these carburetors operate in theory and how selection/tuning in one area affect other areas of performance. I would recommend this book to any individual new to these carburetors as it will reduce the amount of frustration and time taken to achieve optimal performance results.

Demystifies the codes that stop you tuning your Webers.
I can't remember what this book cost but it has saved me from another visit to the rolling road which is a huge saving. I bought the book because of a flat spot coming off the idle stop. The book is clear enough and demystified the idle jet codes and gave me the techniques such that I could fix the problem in less than a couple of hours.

How to Build and Power Tune Weber and Dellorto DCOE and DHLA Carburettors (Speedpro) (Speedpro Series)
Good book full of information as the title suggests. Unfortunately it convinced me not to try a full overhaul of my dellorto carb but will be an excellent reference for more confident/capable mechanics
