Perfect fit and works great
Defrost sensor blew in my freezer and ordered this. I defrosted the freezer manually and cut out the old one and sliced this one in. Reassembled it all and now it works beautifully. The value was great and for a few dollars I fixed my fridge which is worth over $1000

Stops your freezer from ruining your home.
It stopped our GE freezer from defrosting all over our hardwood flooring. Most people would scrap the entire fridge.

Worked perfect. Save my fridge.
This part saved me from having to buy a new fridge. My freezer would make Ice, however, the Ice would clump together in the ice box and the freezer was constantly frosting up. I replaced this part months ago and haven't had an issue since. I highly recommend getting this part to fix your fridge/freezer.

Good product.
Works great on our Danby fridge - no more ice ups! Update - it actually works too good in that it allows heating up the freezer compartment for longer than the original because it is a 140-30 (off at 140, resets at 110) vs. original 60-32 (off at 60, resets at 28) stat and my wife is afraid it will melt the surface of freezer contentsin the time during which it is off until the timer over-rides it. My original stat did not seem to be working but this new one works exactly as it should just that the freezer volume is small vs. a larger fridge so I am going to order an original spec 60-32 if I can find one. The whole problem originally was just that the original stat indeed died and would not reset to allow the heating element to come on and defrost in that cycle. Oh, well, live and learn. I thought this 140-60 would work better, it was available, and it does work but like I said, perhaps too good!

Works great for my GE fridge
Replaced a bulged defrost thermostat (part #37TV31) on my GE fridge and is now working like a charm! Possibly the best money I've ever spent.

NOT a Replacement for GE WR50X10070
This thermostat opens at 140°F and closes again at 30°F. The GE WR50X10070, the one I was replacing, opens at 58°F and closes again at 30°F.The thermostat works as follows. After the fridge has reached to desired temperatures for the main fridge and freezer sections, it may go into a defrost cycle. A small heater is switched on under the evaporator coils in order to melt the ice and snow. Whilst the ice is melting, the temperature around the evaporator coils stays around the freezing point as the ice is absorbing the heat as it turns to water. 80 calories are needed to melt 1gm of ice and turn it to water which drains away. Once all the ice has melted, the temperature begins to rise until it reaches the upper thermostat limit and the thermostat opens to cut off power to the heater. The thermostat only closes again once the next cooling cycle of the fridge is under way. Before buying from this vendor I suggest searching the web to find the on and off temperatures of the thermostat you are looking to replace. If it meets the temperature specifications of this item, then all well and good. Otherwise look elsewhere.
