It's a starter
I'm trying to keep this old magnetic ballast fixture alive. Frankly, it's just fun to watch the lights blink a few times before striking. Nostalgia, I suppose. These starters work just fine.

I got the two-pack but one was broken during shipping. I didn't open them right when I got them and didn't bother reaching out for a return or refund. The undamaged one works great.

Good Starters that Solved My Lighting Problem
These are perfectly good little starters; they work, and that's all I need. There's not much more to say about a fluorescent starter; if your lights are flickering, these are certainly worth a try before you chuck then entire fixture or go to the trouble to change out the ballast!
