Bettie Page: Queen of the Nile

This is a fun comic that reminds you of the old serials. The ones where someting was always happening to the girl. Seems Bettie is having something or someone after her in evry panel of the comic.

A quick read but worth the time, For anyone who's a fan of bettie or any of the older fifties comic stylings this is a good pick up. the story is fun and light!

This is both a good read and a feast for the eyes. Silke has such an extensive knowledge of illustration techniques, the history of pinup art and of Bettie Page that he's a natural to create this great book. Anyone with even a passing interest in the above would be well served to buy this book. A winner!

Well when I got the book I was a bit worried, it starts with a good intro by Dave Stevens and then a strip by silke that wasnt quite what I expected but then as I read on, the actual story is just amazing and exactly what I wanted. His artwork is nice clean slick to look at and the beautiful imagery of bettie is really nice. If you're a fan of Silkes work then this book does not dissapoint. I'd recommend it, buy it!! Bought it pretty cheap on amazon as well.
