I had a cat that would snuggle and cuddle all night. When he passed away, I was looking for something "cat-sized" that I could get as a comforting substitute. The monkey is just as adorable as pictured, and a great size (could be a tad larger). I had bought something similar for about $9 from a local store 3 years ago, but it was left behind at a hotel. :-/This has a great lavender smell, and it is really calming and soothing when I'm trying to sleep. I had seen options with inserts and I wasn't interested - I wanted something that wanted something that was a stuffed animal, and smelled like lavender (without addition things I could lose/etc). The ability to use it for heat/cold therapy (and I have heated it up once or twice)is nice, but not my primary reason for purchase. I find that the scent was noticeable enough for me without heat. I do love the texture/feel of the millet (it's firmer that traditional stuffing, but still squishy and comfortable to snuggle with). I think it would be a great idea for a kid - using the heat/etc. I'd recommend, and buy again (and have, I bought a polar bear to travel with). Even my best friend's three year-old loved this guy, she even named him George after her favorite cartoon character.I think that if I ever wanted to refresh the scent, it'd be relatively easy to use a seam ripper, add some new dried lavender flowers, and hand sew it back together.

It’s just as it was described, looks cute, feels soft & comfy, works well for cramps and muscle aches, microwaveable (have to adjust time based on microwave wattage) was a great gift for my college aged daughter who isn’t allowed to use heating pads or electric blankets etc. Best of all it’s been over 4 months and hasn’t lost any of its lavender smell after frequent uses. Also the smell isn’t subtle or overwhelming. Not even when you first open it or after frequent use.

These guys are great! I bought the hippo for my daughter and the monkey for my nephew for their first birthday. They are absolutely adorable! My eldest daughter has a microwaveable plush that I bought a year ago, but it isn't soft and cuddly and definitely not as cute as these are. The lavender smell is potent but it smells natural and herby and you get used to it. The heat holds for a very long time and is the perfect snuggling companion for bedtime. I wish I had one for myself! I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice, snuggly and warm bedtime companion.

This is an amazing product with so many uses. It can be microwaved and it smells so lovely with the lavender scent. I bought it for my dog to keep him warm on cold winters nights in his dog bed.I ended up borrowing it for various joints that would benefit from some moist heat! Because it’s inside filler has a feel of something similar to rice it forms right to your joint. I can not recommend this product enough for a gentle warm heating source.The quality of the fur is so soft making this product a safe soft addition for a dog or a warm heat compress item for yourself.

Still waiting for our grandson to arrive in April but it sure is cuddly.

I would of given this a full 5 stars, however the back came undone the first day we received it. Easy fix I just sewed it up. My son lives it. Heats up easy. Smell is definitely there and if you like lavender than you'll be ok, if you don't than I woikdnt get it.

Gift for my mother after she unwillingly had to retire her "hot monkey".Good scent, but make sure not to microwave for too long otherwise it'll get a burnt smell.
