Works well and is easy to install. The very common cylinder door closer is the only option available online in many places unless you are lucky enough to find this one. Two cylinder closers broken in 2 years, this one is much smoother, easier to fit and is obviously less mechanically stressful on the parts hence more robust. The adjustment method is awkward hence would have given it 4 stars in the review except no one reads 4 star reviews so I gave it 5.

Laughably poor quality. No strength to the spring, adjustment doesn’t work at all, arm installation poor. Useless product that Amazon should be ashamed to sell.

I bought this item to replace a spring type closure, It was easy to fit & works fine, my gate is a heavy wooden one I had to tighten the tension to the to the highest, but I am satisfied with it

Pretty rubbish. The bar has a double helix thread which is cut before the metal is plated. The plug thread for the bar was not cut straight and the bar would only engage 1 and a half threads and wonky. It was not cross threaded. Cannot recut your own thread either due to the double helical thread. Very cheap construction which is reflected in the price. The stick on pad for the rollers is far too short and is good for only about 45 degrees of arc. It fitted easily enough and is working for now but I fully expect it to fail shortly

Easy to install and works well, closes the door nicely after the dogs let themselves in, very welcome on a cold day.EDIT been in use for a few months now and fails every day, bang and the tension has gone. Needs to be re-tensioned daily.

The spring is not strong enough to close the door
