Chap-Et Assorted Flavors, 48 Count

I actually purchased these for a charity but since they are individually wrapped and having never tried Chap-Et before, I figured I'd take one out for myself. I grabbed a Cherry one and I must say I really like the stuff. The main thing I like about it is how it feels on your lips. It's not as dry as say regular Chapstick but it's not as wet as Chapstick's Moisturizer line. It's just about a perfect middle ground between the two. The Cherry flavor was decent, a lot like the moisture level, not too strong but not too weak. I didn't try any of the other flavors as the rest were given to the charity.The minor issues I alluded to in my title are centered around packaging. I decided to count the total number of sticks in the container and like another reviewer, there were only 47 (yes I accounted for the one I took out) instead of the expected 48. I didn't think much of it but now that I've seen another reviewer end up with the same amount I can't help but wonder if they're doing it on purpose. The other issue I had was distribution of flavors. It comes with 5 flavors (Cherry, Mint, Regular, Vanilla and Bubblegum) and while obviously they can't ship an even amount of each flavor I figured they'd at least be close. Instead my container had the following distribution:18 Cherry12 Regular10 Mint5 Vanilla2 BubblegumPros:- near perfect feel on your lips (not dry but not wet)- nice subtle flavor (at least Cherry anyway)- priceCons:- they only send you 47- flavors are not even close to being evenly distributedBottom Line:I really liked the actual Chap-Et itself, it's 5 star worthy but the packaging issues are in the 2 star territory. If I could I'd give this product a 3.5 star rating but since I can't I decided to give them the benefit of a doubt and mark it as 4 stars. It is priced well and the product itself is great even if they do short change you a stick and on the flavors.

Can’t find this chapstick anywhere, I even emailed the company & they said I could really only get it online. Received 48 sticks: 19 cherry, 14 regular, 6 bubblegum, 6 vanilla, 3 mint. I really only wanted regular & vanilla flavor. The cherry isn’t as strong as other brands. The mint is a classic spearmint. Haven’t tried the other 2 flavors. This is the best chapstick I’ve ever used, it’s very moisturizing, and applies smooth and soft.Edit: Gave 4 stars because I was forced to buy 48 assorted flavors to get 20 of the ones I really wanted. Wish this company would sell reasonable quantities of individual flavors.

Every year, my husband uses lip balm from Autumn until early Spring - his absolute favorite being Chap-et. For the past two years, Chap-et has been hard, if not impossible to find - in fact, the last I found was actually given to my Mom in January, 2011 by the Hospital she was a patient at. With the Hospital giving this product to their patients . . . that should tell you how good it is. Anyway, in the search to find Christmas presents for my husband, I found Chap-et at Amazon.com . . . 48 assorted flavors of Chap-et. I was so excited to see my husband's face when he opened up this present. The entire family was excited and he says it was probably his favorite present this year. It's really fun when all our family and friends ask what we received for Christmas, and we tell them that I received a Mercedes Benz sports coupe and he received Chap-et...then we get to tell them the story.

My wife and I have been using Chap-et for at least 30 years. It is difficult to find in our area and we were almost out. I was definitely thrilled to find it on Amazon. The 48 pack comes with an assortment of flavors (5, I think - I bought it over a year ago) including Vanilla (my favorite), Cherry, Bubble Gum, Mint, and Medicated. Chap-et is soft on your lips but not greasy like Vaseline and it is never hard and waxy like so many of the products on the market. Besides keeping our lips kissable, it keeps them from being sunburned in the hot California sun. This is great stuff and I am so happy that Amazon carries it. It was originally manufactured or marketed by Goody's Headache Powders.

I love Chap-et!!! That being said, I really wish,( as SOOOO many others do), that the makers would package these so that you could JUST get the ones you want!!! I personally am addicted to the mint!!! But it's hard to find, so I bought the "whole enchilada"! Plenty of reg. & cherry, not a lot of mint?!?! But, still love this stuff!!!!!

My Chap-et just arrived. It smells really good, the texture is smooth and nice. I bought it for kids, so that is a great thing to have 5 different flavors.However, I only gave it 3 stars because it had some issues.First, I only recieved 47 instead of 48.Secondly. One of them, a bubblegum flavor was shrinkwrapped without a lid. Well, it was good for a laugh.Would I buy it again? Probably, since the value still seems good. But then again, maybe not.

If you're at all like me, you have an unfortunate addiction to lip balm. The best way for me to describe this lip balm is this: You are out somewhere with friends or family, you realize you don't have any lip balm, you either ran out, or lost yours. You don't want to drive all the way home as this will waste time and gas, so you go to the local store or wherever you can find lip balm available. You buy this, try it, and are relieved (because your lips are now safe), though it's not the kind you would usually buy; it works, and that's good enough until you find your usual favorite types of lip balm.That's the best way to describe this lip balm, it's for emergency use only, otherwise, I would not waste the money on this "great deal;" which is only great because of price and quantity, not quality.

Absolutely love this! No waxy feeling. I used to buy them up at Lake Tahoe before they were bought by this company. I can't recall the previous name, they were always hard to find. I have given these to friends and they always want to know how to get more!The only kind I have used for Snow Skiing and other Sun activities. You won't be sorry! They can be stored for a VERY long time.
