I purchased this toaster along with the matching kettle and espresso machine in 2012, the toaster has stood the test of time and is still working perfectly.The toaster looks very high quality, I always receive compliments as I feel it looks very stylish. It is a double toaster, each side is controlled separately. It has the feature to adjust the toast colour from 1 - 6 on each side, which is perfect as I like my toast alot darker than my other half. It has the function to defrost, reheat, toast bagel and cancel. There is a removable crumb tray which is a little fiddly admittedly, but not something which puts me off. I purchased this in Onyx Black which does show marks etc, as it has a glossy finish. A little wipe with a damp kitchen towel cleans the surface a treat!This toaster has stood the test of time having been used daily for almost 2 years. It is a little expensive but you are paying for a quality toaster. After a LONG debate about which toaster to purchase for my new house, (who knew that there was many models and makes!), I finally plumped for the De Longhi Icona.History is one of my passions and I wanted something to reflect my tastes for all things retro. Initially I wanted to buy a Dualit but far too expensive. However, I don't regret my decision.Item arrived very promptly (2-3 days). Took it out of the box immediately and voila - it fits into my kitchen perfectly. This model does look very retro and the gloss/chrome looks great against the colour scheme of my kitchen.It toasts pretty well. I have noticed that if the bread slice is bent (I took a slice out of the freezer), you might have to flip it over toasting again to get 'even coverage' - if you know what I mean.Great functionality with the bagel and defrost buttons. Plus, it cleans pretty well.Yes its expensive but I'm very happy with it. Like I said, fits my kitchen perfectly.

I received the De'Longhi toaster very promptly. Although the Icona is an expensive version of toaster (it can retail at around £70.00), it is most certainly worth every penny of it and with the saving I made on Amazon (at least £25.00)it was even better value!The toaster is stylish with a high gloss, black exterior; it has a contemporary design that oozes charm.Functionally, it is easy to use with a dial for each twin toaster. It has defrost, reheat and bagel controls; I recommend a toasted bagel with cream cheese, ham and chive (yummy!) The toaster also has a cancel function, if you want to cut it out at any point. This product is a four toaster but you can toast two slices independently.I am so happy with my toaster, that I have also purchased the matching kettle!!Just an update guys, it's now 4 years since I bought this toaster (14 October 2013)and it's still working perfectly; it really does work a De'Longhi time!!!
