great multi-use salve
If you're a fan of Smith's Rosebud Salve, you must try this one as well. It's in a larger container and goes on smoothly- perfect for your lips, any dry patches like elbows, and windburn on cold days. The scent is delicate and not overpowering- a light clover fragrance that doesn't linger. Perfect all-purpose product for your nightstand or makeup bag.

Great product!
I've been looking for a product to help with my very very dry hands during the winter months. It has little to no smell. So you don't have to worry about an unpleasant odor while using this. It is a salve- so you will have a little greasiness even depending on how much you use. I am happy with this purchase. It's helped with what I specifically bought it for.

Works good
Bought for chigger itch relief. Did not work so much on chigger relief but salve is good for other uses.

Use this as a sealant to lock in the moisture ...
Use this as a sealant to lock in the moisture from your facial moisturizer or hand creams. It makes a thin odorless gentle barrier that allows moisturizers applied BEFORE it to fully penetrate the skin without just evaporating. This locks moisture into the skin. It can also lock moisture out of the skin. My mother used this 60+ years ago to put onto baby bottoms to seal clean dry skin and prevent diaper rash.

Still around, still works
Has a pleasant light scent but underneath that is 97 percent white petrolatum. Still works well to sooth and coat, just as it did in the Thirties when kids went door-to-door selling it for a quarter. Expect to spend a lot more than that today, but the can it comes in has plenty of retro charm.

excellent sauve
My Grandparents used this and I don't know how long this has been around but it works on everything very well. Burns, rashes, infections, scraps, cuts, you name it. Terrific stuff and it doesn't cause pain. I have used it for decades with great success

Not for drawing splinters
Searched for drawing salve to treat a splinter and this was on the list. But it has no drawing ability at all.

Not quite like The Original White Cloverine Salve of my youth.
I'm 65 years old and I sold this stuff door to door when I was a kid. I didn't know it was still made until I discovered it on Amazon. This seems to work but has a slightly different scent than the original (I still had a little bit left). I noticed it is no longer labeled "the original white cloverine salve" made in Cody, Wyoming so I'm not really sure it is exactly the same thing. Probably another example of a company buying a name and reputation instead of earning one!
