Easy security improvement for the price.
I locked myself out of my house recently and was disappointed at how easily I got back in. Among other things I've done, I grabbed these window locks. It was a quick install and is a significant improvement. I didn't give these five stars for a few reasons. First, there is no usage guide included. Sure, I get that you can look at the product page here on Amazon and see how it works, but still, its nice to have it right there when you go to install the locks. Second, the guide here suggests you get felt protectors for where the bolt tightens to the rail but what I actually got were plastic pieces. They work fine but its not felt. Third, the little screw key things you get (why so many?) are hard to use. Luckily I had a screw driver and hex bits, which made it a lot easier.

Worth it so far
These are super easy to install and seem to hold better than a similar product I tried from lowes. I actually feel like I can keep my windows cracked at night without thieves climbing through my window

These locks are too thin, they don’t work on my windows!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. These are a waste of money! It’s easy to place the lock on the window and tighten it, but if you have vinyl windows like I do, the lock itself is so thin that the window passes right behind it, they’re useless. Tried to upload a video but can’t get it to work. The back part of the lock is way to thin and I can’t reverse it as the key won’t fit in the window tracks. I’ve gone beyond the timeframe to return so now I’m stuck with these useless pieces of junk. Note to self: try out the items ordered immediately to see if they even work so they can be returned on time.

Only return option was to send more?!
These were worthless. Needed to lock the window so disabled child doesn't open it too far. They pop right off when he pushed harder trying to open it. Only return option is to replace with the same item.

Another aid to home security.
Needed to leave windows open at night, and alarm sensors didn't leave enough of an opening. These locks installed easily, and came with a plastic shield to minimize damage from tight screws. Great individual packaging avoids a jumble of pieces, and multiple keys are provided. Allen wrench adaptable.

Hard locks but not easy to install.
Locks look good but hard to install. I think a drill machine is needed to make a hole in the window frame so that the locks can anchor properly. otherwise, it's very easy to push the window and slide the lock upward or sidewise.

They are good quality, but don't stay put very well
I LOVE the concept, but they don't really stay put very well once you screw them onto the window frame. I was able to open the window up even further after attaching it. Bummer.

Measure your window frame before you order.
Everything was easy to use but my windows were not wide enough for the clamps to get a good hold. But I was able to put another piece of metal behind it so it would hold.
