Instead of a specialized camera (such as Sony a7r4) I use this contraption to mimic pixel shift shooting scheme. The result exceeds my wildest expectation. I can't compare my picture to that of a real pixel shift camera, but suffice to say I'm astounded by the picture quality and detail this device affords me. I especially appreciate its 4-way micro adjusting mechanism for precision framing. Other similar devices I had considered were SWEBO LS-001 ($189 for single-axis model lauded for its 0.01mm accuracy) and RRS Macro 150 ($360 for single-axis model). Aside from the obvious price difference among these three, in terms of real world usability, I find a quasi accuracy of 0.25mm (which this device can easily manage) is more than adequate for my purpose. With that said, however, I do wish there were a measuring scale on the turning knob (alla RRS) for more ascertained control. But, all in all, this is really an excellent product and an exceptional value!In terms of design and build quality, I don't see this device in any way inferior to RRS Macro 150 (not to mention to those stratospherically priced European brands'). As to the durability, there's no reason mechanically for it not to last a long long time.

Knocking off a star because of the red-colored knobs. Since these are used at such close proximity to the subject, these could contribute to unwanted color cast. Would have been nice if they were left black, like the rest of the parts.More on my blog.

Great product. Item is much nicer then I expected for the price.It holds several styles of Arca Swiss compatible plates including plates with bottom safety screws.The lever on the side above the I Shoop logo is actually a quick adjustment button that rotates to prevent accidental movement.this 4-way unit is just 2 of the 2-way plates stacked each level has a quick adjust lever and a manual knob for adjustment.it"s nice and solid however It's a bit heavy I'm not sure there is any room for improvement.Overall it's a great device..

The design and quality of the iShoot focusing rails is top-notch. The micrometer adjustment knob moves the stage smoothly and precisely. It takes a full turn of the knob to move the stage 1mm, which allows the small increments of movement needed to support photo stacking of high magnification (1x-5x) macro images provided by my Canon MPE 65mm lens.

Beautiful piece of equipment. I tried some of the others at the same price point only to find they were very poorly made and had no stability whatsoever. I highly recommend this product from iShoot.

Everything seems solid and well-machined... in the first impression.However, after using it a few times, minor issues start to become obvious. For example, out of every 360 degree turn of the screw that moves the clamp by one thread pitch, about 10 degrees worth turning seems to be a little "screechy" - perhaps some part of it didn't get properly de-burred or polished; it's unlikely to be lack of lubrication. I may have to take it apart and see if it can be rectified because now that I feel it, it is getting annoying.My second comment relates to a missed opportunity - this product could have been far more useful if the cam which locks the movement was designed so part of the turn completely disengaged the semi-cylinder thread block. This would have allowed the user to slide the clamp block easily along the groves at roughly the desired distance, engage the thread block and use the fine movement for accurate focussing. It's current design forces the user to turn the drive-screw a great many turns, which takes time.When shooting at high magnification (very shallow depth of field) to create stacks, after making the initial assessment as to how many times or degrees the drive screw needs to be turned before shooting a frame, to get consistent results, remember to go only in one direction - either go forward or backward for the entire series of photos.

The rail runs very smooth. It's very easy to use.

El producto es bueno sin duda, realmente son 2 piezas iguales, es decir, practicamente te venden el riel pero X2, pero al final funciona, son algo grandes y son pesados (metalicos) pero tienen buena calidad, el camino de la cuerda es lento por lo que para hacer fotografía de macro extremo me parece muy bueno pues podemos controlar muy bien la distancia del enfoque cuando movemos los rieles, sin duda me parece un buen producto, aunque personalmente considero que es un poco caro, pero creo que lo vale para quien esta muy metido en este tipo de trabajo fotográfico, parece que durarán bastante tiempo

This consists of two identical focus rails which can be mounted at right angles to each other. This allows movement in two axes. Other cheaper ones are plastic and the gears may not engage. These are all metal and solid.You can use the rails singly or together.I've tried a few of these set ups and this gives the best bang for the buck by far.

Initially when I realised I had ordered a product from China I was a little apprehensive. However having received and set the rails up with my camera I would have no reservations about using this company again.The finish on the rails is excellent and the engineering is precise and accurate.I have found no problem with backlash on the threads which can be evident on some Macro rails.Adjustment of the tension on the rail is easily achieved with a combination of the pressure screw and the clutch lock screw.I was also pleased that all connections are swiss arca so that they match neatly with my L bracket and tripod head.While this review is for the four way set the same quality etc. would apply to a single two way rail. Conclusion; A first class product and a sensible price.
