Pattern Design: Fundamentals: Construction and Pattern Making for Fashion Design

I grew up learning to sew by watching my mom. So I found this to be very simple. But it is useful. It discusses all the basics for making patterns.

Overall I like what I see so far in this book but have not had an opportunity to learn the techniques yet.

Excellent explanations. Easy to follow instructions and diagrams. Very useful.

Good instruction so you can create your own patterns. You can use this book as a quick reference when making patterns and it will save you money

Super basic. This book was a refresher for me in terms of block manipulation, and garment finishings. Bc the images are so clear and to the point as well as processes, this willBe my go to book when I’m in a rush and may have a moment of doubt with how something is supposed to be done.

Very comprehensive. You need to make sure you're taking the time to actually read and follow along.If you're not willing to take the time to follow along and create patterns ... get another book.

Like: How well organized this manual is for the design aspect of clothing construction.Dislike: I'm finding it hard to find and download the half sized slopers mentioned in the manual.But overall I'm satisfied with this book.

I need more than one pinion as to how to successfully alter or make patterns. This is a good addition
