Q: How small does this breakdown to for traveling reasons? We like to camp but our telescope at home isnt travel friendly.

breaks down and it all fits in that backpack which is a little smaller than a childs school backpack. the backpack provided is not the best quality so we loaded everything up in a better one. oh and the binoculars are very very good.

Q: how tall does the tripod go?

The Tripod can be adjusted up to 39.4 inch tall. Thank you!

Q: Why can i not see anythinga through the main lense?

You might have a defected model, I'd send it back. I couldn't figure out how to work mine but I could still see through it you know.
