Having a strong desire to live as simple and off the grid, this book seemed to be a necessary item in the quest to build a home that will be natural and low cost as well. Have land now need to design a basic simple home and using the knowledge in this book - build my home.

Great book

An interesting read but there's nothing in here that isn't commonly available (for free) on the internet now. Relic of a bygone era, honestly.

I have not started any straw-bale construction yet, but I have reviewed the book and I feel that it is detailed and well-organized enoughto enable me to be successful in any straw-bale construction I should choose to try.

good book I have built with staw bales before and most of info was good w some good ideas. Didn't agree with all of the ideas, but yeah good

Really effective at teaching proper strawbale construction.

This was the only out of seven books I purchased that gave concise, straight forward how to from the ground up.

Great book

This is a very helpful book for those who really want to build a load bearing, Nebraska style straw bale house. What you find here are the graphics and the drawings what makes you understand the details of how to build a load bearing straw bale house. There are few black and white pictures in the book, but that really did not matter for me as I had already two other books with pictures. A must have.
