These are great and provide the perfect amount of cushion. I feel no pain when I’m wearing these. I highly recommend them. They have a sticky backing so you can stick them in your shoes to prevent any moving. I choose not to so I can use them in any shoes.

I've transitioned to fully barefoot shoes over the past 2.5 years. This summer I developed Achilles Tendonitis from walking on concrete all day at work in minimalist sandals (4-6mm sole). That said, I needed to back up and back off and chose these inserts after some research. They are definitely helping. I ordered the sport version which is lower but still higher than I thought, but despite this they're working! I won't go zero drop again until the pain above my heels resolves (and maybe not at all at work given everywhere I walk is concrete). These are not cushy (which I like). One thing I don't like is that they do move if you don't peel back the plastic sheet on the bottom and stick into your shoe. I didn't want to do that because I move them from shoe to shoe. Instead, I used my own sticky dot and that works well. Considering north soles are just as much and may not have helped for this condition, I would buy these again.

I really liked the concept of these inserts. Had good comfort review. No directions on packaging or website on how to easily remove protective plastic. Had shrink wrap all around the sides and bottom. Trying to remove that was a disaster. Like it was melted on. Maybe stored in heat and melted? It won't all come off and will be hit or miss when placed in shoes to stick. I'm disappointed based on high hopes to use these in high end dress high heel shoes.

I didn’t like it at first and even was afraid that it would make my Achilles tendonitis worse. However I had no chance but to use it because the new hiker boots that I bought for everyday wear in our light Californian winter, were rubbing against my ankles really badly. I liked them too much to return them so I found that if I used this heel lift, the rubbing significantly decreased. I have been wearing my new boots with this heel insert to work every day and my pain from Achilles tendonitis has not been bothering me much. It may be a combination of the supplements I take, the stretches I started plus these inserts. As for comfort, they are not uncomfortable, I got used to them. But I haven’t tried taking a long walk in them yet. The long walk may be less comfortable because my feet feel slightly off balance when wearing Heel defender. I mean that it’s a bit difficult to walk perfectly straight. But i believe that it is still worth it as it reduces the impact on my Achilles tendon.
