Best brand
I am a cosmologist and this is by far my favorite brand of hair fibers. It’s easy to use and comes in a little shake bottle. The fibers come out easily and don’t clump together, plus it comes in a lot of different colors. It helps so much with making hair look thicker and hiding bald/thinning spots.

Works for thinning hair
I bought this from my mother. She likes it. It fills in her hair where she’s thinning and matches her color well.

Love this product but color is very light
For light brown it’s light, more like the color you’d get with highlights. The medium brown is too dark…this is too light.

better than nothing?
I'm still wondering if Toppik "works". I can't get close enough to the back of my head with a mirror or phone camera to see any fibers, but the bald spot is less visible. I tried it on the hair on my arms to see if it would build fibers, but it just turned my arm brown - no building of anything. So it's probably safe to assume that it is simply coloring my scalp back there. I'm just starting to lose my hair from hormones, surgery and stress and though Toppik makes me feel like it's not as noticeable, I may just look like an old lady pretending no one will notice her stained head.I did try it on the front of my head around my face, but it's difficult to apply without it delineating your hairline. Or it my case my mile-high forehead.Several key points: This light brown is very ash brown. In case you haven't been coloring your hair for a million years, this means that the color reads as green not gold. There is zero gold. I purchased both auburn and light brown and primarily use the brown to tone down the auburn a wee bit. If I purchase again I will rethink the colors I choose. It is also completely matte. More matte than dry shampoo or volume powder. I would use volume powder to help hide the dull roots, but for normal down hairstyles Toppik is noticeably matte.Be prepared to wipe everything in a 5 foot radius immediately after use! You will find brownish powder on not just floor and counter but your toothbrush and the tiny edges around your sink and the back of the toilet and the top of towel racks - clean up right away or you'll find it on your cuffs, socks, elbows, etc.Apply before your clothing. See above.Don't forget to clean your ears. If you play with your hair or scratch your scalp your fingernails can get "dirty".I didn't use hairspray to set, so maybe that helps.I'm going to try other similar products just to see if there's a difference. Maybe this is the best. I'll let you know.

It really helps!
I have been using this for only 2 days and I see a difference.I am a middle aged woman, salt and pepper hair that is color treated to light brown/ dark blondish. I got the light brown shade and it matched pretty well.I have had a scar on my head from surgery 32 years ago, so I have always had thin hair on one side of my head. Now, my hair is thinning in front (my forehead is getting larger!) So I've got the scar on the back and thin spots coming in front. This powder made me feel more confident today because I felt less old looking.I sprinkled it on towel dried hair , let it sit for a bit, then I blow dried it. Then added a little more powder, and checked the scar area in the back of my head and I could barely see any scar, and in front I saw less scalp. I wish this existed 20 years ago and I could have covered the scar back then.It also seems like it will work for hiding white roots!I have tried root sprays and they are hard to apply evenly and are sticky. So, for this product-I recommendthis method; first, wear rubber gloves. Protect clothing, and your sink or counter so you don't make a mess. Protect your ears and your eyes. While hair is towel dried and damp, sprinkle on the product to where you want coverage.Use your gloved hands to sort of fluff your hair around ,try to even out the powder. Blow dry your hair or let it dry naturally.Once dry, sprinkle more if needed.I am so far very happy and highly recommend! 👵

Serves no purpose
This is truly a waste of money. You habe to shake it onto your scalp/roots and not touch it afterwards. If you do, it will all disappear. It doesnt make any sense.
