Good stuff. Had a tree fall over the winter and it caused a lovely tear in the material. Make sure the surface is clean AND dry. I used a strip on both sides of the material. Put a few cinder blocks on it just to make sure a full contact was made. One further step I did was place some rubber cement liberally around the edges of the patch, just to make 110% sure no water could leak in..... pretty satisfied with the result.

Our cover had some major mouse action this summer... We unrolled it to find a not so cute mouse family had taken up living in the cover. Lots of little holes and some bigger rips from just long time wear and tear. These patches are amazing!To get proper adhesion:Make sure cover is dry and clean(at least the areas you need to patch.Use the patch on top and bottom of holeCut it a little bit larger than you think you need so the patch can smoothly "melt" to the sturdy parts of the coverUse a heat gun! I bought one here and it is a godsend for so many things pool related!Do not make the gun too hot, just enough to earn the patch so the glue is more gooey.. because you do not want to melt another hold on the cover (I may, or may not be speaking from experience here.. )

When I took my NEW safety pool cover out this year i found that mice enjoyed it as a temp home and ate holes in my $2500 cover. I was pleased to learn there was an easy fix. While I have to let it survive the harsh upstate NY winter - my first month has shown no signs of coming off. I add that I discovered the holes on the day of pool closing and installed the cover before I found this solution. As a consequence, I could NOT install on both sides in a few areas not by the edge of the pool. Hopefully that will not impact long term success and I will apply when cover comes off in the spring - many months from now.

The patches matches the Loop Loc cover exactly and stick very well.

I have not used the ones I just ordered BUT I have used this product in the past. It works perfect, be sure to note the warning about the size of the hole or tear. I used a hair dryer to dry the area before applying and after too. Just felt the warm air might help it adhere better (?)

They went on well. I put one on the bottom and one on the top. They stayed for about a month and a half. The top one now looks like it is scrunching up. I don't know if it is from the cover tightening and then relaxing from the weather or what. Still looks to be keeping leaves and debris out.

As you know, Loop lock pool covers are pretty expensive to replace. For that reason we carefully patch ours each year, using this company's products. We put a patch on top and one beneath wherever we have to patch. We've owned our cover for about 17 years now, and it still is working very well! Highly recommend.
