I can't use a stove because I have seizures. This makes it so I can microwave packets of ramen noodles sometimes when no one is available to help me. I think this would be safe for an older (8+) child to use if they wanted to make their own noodles, as long as they are aware that the water boils and to let it cool down in the microwave.

Why oh why have I never known about this lil baby?? Cooks up ramen quickly and deliciously!! This would be perfect for dormers! Buy one and you will NEVER go back to making ramen the old way I promise!!!

Bought these for my granddaughter for Christmas as she is now into eating ramen. Since I love the set I got I that this would be a fun gift for her.These really do work just like described. I do want to mention if you add the water and do the 3 minutes that is given for directions you will see at about the last 20 seconds or so it looks like it is going to boil over it doesn’t. The first time I used it I took it out right away, but it really needs that full 3 minutes. The next time I was distracted and when the timer went off and I removed it there was not boil over and it was cooked perfectly with enough broth the drink it up.The directions are imbedded on the ramen bowl and the fill line is on the inside of the ramen bowl.

I know they might seem a little pricey. but get one. you will thank yourself.

Works well. However, it's way too small to cook a ramen that requires 17 fl oz or 500 ml of water. You will need to check before cooking because it will overflow. My recommendation is to cook half ramen at a time or get ones that require less water.

Cooks perfectly in those dorm microwaves.
