Maximum Security (3) (CHERUB)

I have never picked up a book series and have been so amazed by words on paper. Robert Muchamore has a serious skill for making you feel as if you are standing right in the middle of these stories.I originally borrowed the book serious from my cousin but they were just so good I had to buy my own set as I couldn't stop reading them.Maximum Security is another Robert Muchamore book that you will plough through without even realising how much you have read and at that stage you will realise your done. This is definitely the best book that was written by Muchamore, there was so much thrill and exitment while reading this book.Stop reading this review and go buy it!!!!

I like these Cherub books. I didn't expect to. The suspension of disbelief required to accept childish yet lethal 12 year olds seemed a bit much. But, there are lots of good things to say about the Cherub books, one being the regularly featured Epilogue. Books, even entertaining books, which leave unaddressed loose ends, well, they irritate me. Each Cherub book concludes with a satisfying look into each character's future. No "I wonder what happened to old so and so". The Epilogues are satisfying. They are like dessert.

My grandson introduced me to this series, and I'm glad he did! I have five "missions" and have read three so far. The premise is interesting, the teenagers are believable and mostly likeable. It's a fast read, full of action and low on teenage angst. Add ten years to the characters' ages and it would no longer been a young adult series. I look forward to more in the series.

This is the third in the Cherub series. Very enjoyable with lots of action involving James in jail to try and befriend a convict so he can get to his family. The characters are developing so we are familiar with what they are potentially capable of.

Maximum Security is a book which not only will suck you in but make you wish you were sitting next to the protagonists talking to them.Robert Muchamore manages to bring his characters to life no one else. I strongly suggest this book to anyone who is in to action and espionage.

My son was addicted to this series of books and couldn't wait to read them all. He read each one in one night. That is how much he loved them. He has also read them all multiple times. He was about 14 when he read this series.

This book is full of action and never boring I recommend this book to no one younger than twelve but I advise reading fore i thoroughly enjoy reading and will get the next book the killing so if you are over twelve and like spies action and never boring then get this book.

Shipping took forever! Book came from the east coast to hawaii. I was tracking it all the was. For 12 days, it was sitting in a california facility. Only until I email the facility, did the book come a couple days later, but no response from the shipping company. But all in all, book was great, my nephew finished it way faster then the shipping time! I can wait for the next book. Looking on Amazon now for book 5.

My 11yr old (almost 12) boy absolutely loves this series. He has devoured the first three books in no time at all and is very eager to get the others in the series asap. He does like reading, but generally at bedtime - these books where being read at any time of day and I didn't have to 'suggest' he go and read! He's a boy who doesn't like Harry Potter at all, loves Michael Morpurgo, Horrible Histories and Malorie Blackman books and Skulduggery Pleasant. Hope that helps!

I enjoyed reading this series. Each book was very well written. A really interesting concept. Lots of action in each book and we also get to know all of the main characters really well.. .If you haven't read the Henderson's Boys books - which tells us how CHERUB came into being - then I suggest you really do. Again an excellent series of books, as long as you can forgive some basic mistakes which with proper research would have made a good series into a great series.

Sent to a maximum security prison in the US with another agent Paul Adams must escape and help to catch the mother of another inmate who has stolen some top secret missiles. With his fellow agent injured on his first night inside can he still pull off his mission. With his sisters help he does manage to escape with his target and then go on to pursue the theif. Double crossed near the end James and Lauren escape and chase after their target.

My son read the first two books at school and he loved them so much I bought the first 4 so I could read them too and he could continue to read the series. Really good story, my only concern is my son is 10 and I think there is a bit too much teenage content for my liking and I am surprised these were on a primary schools reading list but that is not the book or the authors problem.

These are the best books I`ve ever read!!!!!!Me and my brothers love it and it`s the only books Iever read!!! My favourite is maximum security because it`s really fun and entertaining!!! One of my other favourite books is NEW GUARD because it`s the last one but to be honest Ilike them all the same. They are all such great books!!!!!!!!!!
