Vango Cascade

I ordered this rucksack as the adjustable rucksacks on seemed to go down to 50" and the back size of the person using it was on 48". It fitted well and was comfortable. We could not figure out though how to thread the elastic at the front!

Comes with bands to attach like the photo and instruction booklet, but there’s no where or way of attaching them. Disappointing!

Brilliant bag, good quality and reasonably light

Beware: There appears to be more than one version of the Vango Cascade 65:75. The advert I purchased my bag from made no reference of the different versions, and when I looked online they all seemed to come with rain covers, so I was surprised to find that the one I received didn't come with one.

The instructions to add the strap are absolutely useless and impossible!

On opening, the labels had been cut off and mud and dirt was over the straps and bag!! Someone had obviously got their use out of it and then returned it!

Vango cascade's quality may be good but the space it offers is definitely ridiculous . The rucksack is narrow from bottom to top , I had to put a mattress and sleeping bag one on top of the other vertically because the rucksack is too narrow and tight to put them in horizontally . That took up about 80% of the available volume ! leaving 20% room to squeeze in vertically down , clothes , food and other items beside the mattress and sleeping bag. The 2 side pockets are more or less useless which you can hardly squeeze in things when the sack is full because they are built in rather than independent pockets which are free to expand . Poor choice for DOE , one should choose at least 90/100 litre sack with wide body to have enough room for the above things .
