The media could not be loaded.  No more shakes/ vibrations in my videos or pictures! I used to get hand based vibrations in the pictures and videos, this unit absolutely removed it. One star less because, IPhone XS Max appears to be heavy for it, it fits too tight, but OK. Some improvements in software required. I have posted a video of a shot taken on a high speed ferry at Sydney.

The media could not be loaded.  I’m an amateur video creator and in time I’ve bought several, cheap selfie sticks. I wasted a lot of time trying to make my movies and I failed 99%. Being an active person and having the desire to record the most interesting moments on the spot, nevertheless listening the advice of a friend who uses this device in a professional studio, made me acquire the product. For me this decision was one of the best ever made in this area. Since I’ve opened the box, I realized that I bought a very good quality product. After a few settings and installing a specific app (that comes with the instructions manual), I started to use the product very smoothly and easily. I tried to use it with both systems, android and iPhone, and it connects easily with both, meanwhile the app is very easy to use, although professional. I’m happy with my choice and even if it seems pricey, I’m convinced that it worth every penny. Highly recommend it.

I thought maybe the first one was a lemon so I replaced it with another. The 'new' new one is different, bit it has the same issue. In 4th of July I used it to video fireworks. 10 minutes in, the gimble 'went to sleep' while power was still on. I was videoing for work, and the new one, 5 minutes in, did the same thing. So that's the biggest problem.I have a case on my phone, an OtterBox. So I use the weights to balance. This interferes with the use of the gimble. I cannot hold the gimble down and catch footage correctly because my camera/case won't allow it. I am a dog trainer, I need the low angle.When I have an item centered to video and its moving, the gimble often cuts off people's heads. I have so much foreground I'm constantly trying to adjust the phone. This was on both of the gimbles. Video is not good when your subjects are at the top 20% if the video.So the gimble stops. The image area is skewed and I can't use it properly with a camera case, no matter the weights balance it.

My favorite is the Mo-cap hyper-lapse. What you can do is set this to 1/30th of a second and select up to 4 waypoints. Tell the app how long and you make a microrobot pan-tilt etc. Very nice extra. It connects to Filmic pro and your stock camera app. it also came with a GoPro mount and my Campark Action cam work great instead.So far the Smooth 4 app only handles 1080p. In Filmic it will do your camera max- 4k -on my Samsung G8a, but you trade off the Smooth app features for the filmic features.Ok, So the market is flooded with these 3 axis gimbals and your not sure which one?If like me you have a decent camera on your phone and want to get more than just static B-roll from it you have found your tool! If you have a Youtube search for the smooth 4 you will see people running with this and complaining about it. But you might find 10 or 15 different shot ideas that never hit you when you first saw one of these. I have mine on a 15$ tripod that helps me use it a Jig, Crane, Boom. Rolling in a wheeled chair gives you a dolly shot.I will update with a full review soon.RECOMMENDED!

This three-axis gimbal makes every pan or turn like you were using a dolly.The ZY Play app is very user friendly. And the gimbal provides full compatibility with the FiLMiC Pro app. For mobile filmmakers, like myself, this is the perfect companion. Because I can trigger every button in the apps from the gimbal’s controls, like, the Focus & Zoom wheel. Not only it saves me time but avoids any disturbance on the video. This wheel also allows to create a vertigo effect, by zooming while backing up, or by setting it up in ZY play app. A feature that very few gimbals our there can do.The PhoneGo mode is another feature that other gimbles lack. I can do quick turns to capture any rapid movements I need to shoot.It has a 12-hour battery charge and you can even use the gimbal as a power source to charge your mobile device.You can even mount a GoPro adapter on it which you can add with the use of counterweights. The axes are very stable and, as advertised, the unit works well with FiLMIC Pro. I did have to pull the arm all the way out and add three balancing knobs for it to balance with my XS Max.My only complaint is it will not work with any of my Moment lenses attached if I wish to retain the ability to place the gimbal into standby by seating the arm. Even with all four balancing knobs the motors cannot handle the amount of unbalance.I can make it work with all four balancing knobs mounted on the outside of the arm but even then it is still a bit out of balance and the motors have to overcome the imbalance.
