Thinking about buying a second one just for magazines...and I'm not talking about National Geographic or Playboy. Although these magazines got a lot of us guys through some awkward teen years, these still aren't the magazines that you want to put into this case.

Great case. I like how much it holds, how configurable it is, its depth, and the metal reinforced lock holes are nice too. I got some great combination locks for it. I'm not a fan of pick-and-pluck style foam, but this is much better than that.

I have had this now a few months and I really like it. Solid investment for home storage and travel. I am a Pelican person because of the Military - and I have quite a few of them. This is not a Pelican by any means, but for what it is, the quality you get, the price you pay, and the purpose it fills - this is excellent.Very easy to move the pre-cut foam blocks out and fit your handguns. All of my hand guns have red dots and are full size - it is a tight fit and you will need to remove almost all but a single layer on the pistol grip end to fit if you have flared mag wells - I do. After some patience they were all in.Mags - if you have a standard capacity mags - say 15-20 rounds, they will fit. If you add on 140 mm base plates, they will also continue to fit, but that's as far as it goes. My XD mags with 170mm base plates do not fit and are too wide for the case to close.Outside that - the foam will shift slightly overtime to better fit your crap but - fantastic. Stacks great if you have more than four and the amount of mags this case holds is just silly. I keep a fixed number of magazines for each handgun and I was surprised it held all of them - and then some. Happily ended up filling voids.

I bought this as a backup and safe way to transport my sidearms when not in the safe. It's easy to set up. It fits a standard 1911, FX509t with Red Dot, an XDS mod 2, and Glock 19. It also holds my hearing protection and other accessories I want when I'm heading to the range.There are only two issues I have with the case. the standard 24 round magazines do not fit in the magazine slots. They're too long and will not allow the case to shut. Also the hole for the pad lock is too small for many heavy duty padlocks. I tried four different locks, then went to the store and bought one... none of them fit through the holes. I also noticed one side the hole was mishappened and neither side matched up perfectly.Even with those two issues, it's still a good case.

This gun case is absolutely the best

I now have two of these cases. The case is extremely durable and that comes with a lot of heft. That should be expected when you buy a case that is all but fireproof.The case is very versatile. You can carry four pistols & twenty nine magazines if you want. If you don’t want to use all the space, you can put the inserts back in to keep trash from filling in the openings.When traveling, the case is large compared to a soft case or box, but the pistols are secured with a lock and you can store ammo in the case if you so choose.If you have a 1911 5” with a magazine well, it is just an inch too long. Anything under 5” with a mag well will fit just fine.I run my pistols slick or with a red dot and the pistols fit securely and snug with the lid closed.

I don't write too many reviews but thought this might help a few out who are trying to decide between a Pelican or a Seahorse case. I have around 8 Pelican cases of all different sizes. THe 1170 is great for a single full size glock but nothing bigger. I wanted a case to take to the range with several handguns that would be easier to deal with than multiple soft cases in the truck.The case is well built. No sag or give in the top as a few other companies and similar to the pelican in perceived hardness. The locking mechanisms are a nice tough to confirm they are latched without a lock. The handguns fit well and are secure. The guns i have fit in here have been Glock 19, 17, 21 a FNS 9 full size and a CZ SP-01 Phantom. All have fut fine. THe SP-01 are 18round magazines are fit but stick out some but not a problem with the foam on the other side.The only handgun i didn't think fit the best was my S&W Shield 9 which is a subcompact per se. I purchased a Seahorse SE630 since they fit but down and it seemed to fit a little better in that particular case. I like the seahorse but think the case club is just a touch more rigid exterior since the seahorse had more give/sag in the middle of the case when you push hard on it.I love pelican case and if they had pre-cut foam that was closed cell i would have likely gotten those since i knew the construction. I am pleasantly surprised with the case club and have no problem recommending it for the design of the foam and rigidity of the product. If i need another handgun case i will purchase a case club.

The media could not be loaded. This is the best handgun case I have ever owned you can see in my video that it fits a lot of handgun related items. I usually carry 3 to 4 handguns with me to the range or hunting. Are usually have my 22 Ruger, 40 Springfield Armory pistol, 1911 Springfield, and my Ruger LCP 380.The large side compartment can also fit earmuffs, earplugs, extra rounds, glasses, and a few more items easily.The locking tabs that hold it close work great. I have jostled this case around a lot and some cases going to the range or to the camp and nothing moves inside the case. All the product on the inside stays secure and undamaged.I have been using this case for about a year now and I am extremely impressed with it. It is very handy at the gun range to easily carry in several handguns in one easy to carry case. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who frequents the range or needs a convenient carrying case for their hand guns.Well constructed case and worth the money
