The accessories and mounting system 2.5 stars.First, upon recieving the package the wall charger was in pieces and not working properly. The helmet mount was not included. I wrote immediately and expressed my irritation. Evan answered that day acknowledging the problems were known to them, that they refunded 100% of the purchase price, and they had sent a new wall charger and included the missing helmet mount.The light is exceptionally bright, produces a focused spot light and a general or peripheral lit area providing excellent field of vision while traveling at average or normal speed. The low setting is adequate for night time riding and extends the use of the battery to several hours. The strobe effect on the third setting is not reccommended at night.The mounting system for this light is pathetic. The smaller rubber strap is tight enough and does not seem likely to come undone but will not hold the light in one position. If you are riding on asphalt or hit enough bumps the light will eventually point downwards. Not adequate for daily use in my case.Last, the they include two small, cool looking aluminum rear lights with three settings. They are fine for night time use but are completely useless for day time riding as they can not be seen flashing.

These lights are super bright but , it keeps cutting off power when I go over a hump even going down a curb, almost fell down a ditch once on a night ride. Had to unplug the power and plug it back again each time to reset and turn it back on. Very annoying and it disrupts the rude each time I have to stop and unplug when it cuts out power. Does anyone face the same power outage issue?Updating it and Giving it a 4star review, great customer service, they send a new head lamp unit as a replacement

This is an excellent light! I could caveat this by saying, "for the price". But the fact is this would be a great light at 3-4X this price. This rivals many lights that are above that price point. This truly is 900 lumens, no doubt about it. Couple this light with the diffuser lens and you have a combination that is hard to beat. It broadcasts a light that covers the entire road, into the shoulders and illuminates signs 500+ yards ahead of you. Impossible to outrun this light. I commute evenings with this and on moonless nights on tree covered back streets it creates a "tunnel" of light that you ride through. I feel more confident at night because I know I am seeing everything there is in the road (and well ahead) AND everyone is seeing me. I came upon other cyclists the other night and one shouted, "car back" when I approached them. They were amazed when I pedaled by.Customer service from Stupid Bright is amazing. I had one of the older battery packs and the cord began to wear at the coupler, I contacted SB and they wrote back within the hour saying they were shipping me a new battery pack. Can't beat responsive, attentive, state-side service! Thanks!!!

I often ride through areas of near complete darkness with deer and all sorts of critters jumping out at night. This lights up the road very nicely and the battery pack isn't too bulky. The tail lights are quite powerful too. My only complaint is that the elastic that holds the light to the handle bar is not quite tight enough and the light can shift when you hit a rut or bump. Otherwise, I like it.Update: I had the battery in storage over the winter (4 months) and now it no longer charges. The light is great but the battery is absolute garbage. I have a 30 minute ride in the dark and I have to charge it every other day or it will crap out on me, leaving me in utter darkness. In addition, the charger that came with it disintegrated in my hand when I went to unplug it from the outlet. When I contacted the seller about replacing it I got NO response and I had to buy another one myself. Ustoner service sucked.

It is, in point of fact, stupid bright. I've had it for a few weeks now, and have been commuting and occasionally running off-road with the light set. No water intrusion (which matters during fall in the PNW.My only complaint is that the helmet mount take a bit of figuring out for strap routing, and the battery pack lives in my backpack, as it would be difficult at best to mount on the helmet.Update: The cable running from the battery pack broke at the connector. This is most likely my fault, as both the battery pack and connector are quite robust. Simply be attentive when disconnecting the headlamp if it is in an awkward place.

I do a lot of riding in the Arizona foothills. There is virtually no light in these areas so if I ride too long after dark it can get dangerous fast. I had a Planet Bike light previously that I purchased at my local bike shop for $30+ that allowed others to see me, but I can barely see the road ahead. I wanted to find something brighter at a low price and decided to try this light set. It projects lots of light and the battery life lasts long enough to get me home safely. The fact that I can mount it to my helmet or to the bike itself allows me to use a two light set up. I had to get use to the feeling of a light mounted on the helmet as it adds a little weight to your head, but all in all I'm very satisfied with the quality for the price. I would definitely buy again.

Update 2: Contacted the manufacturer and sent them the the Amazon purchase number and the serial number. They 2 day shipped me a new one.Update: the soldering inside the light came lose. So the light won't work.I'm a big fan of the Cree XM-L2 led. I have several flashlights with that led. Saw this bike light and I knew it was the one I want. It has a close to 20 hour run time. It's a quality light. The battery is cover all hard plastic and sealed up. This light is super bright I think having several of these LEDs like new modes would be too much and you have a short run time. Will light up your path super well. Picture is with it raining.
