Round Riser Pad

High quality and very efficient back pad rider for a dressage saddle. I use it together with a silicone back protector with fur and the fur keeps the Exselle round riser pad in it's place. My dressage saddle now becomes more deep and the seat is very comfortable thanks to the riser pad.

This doesn’t work

Ended up returning this riser pad because it wouldn't stay under my saddle. Kept slipping out the back, and I almost lost the pad on my first ride on the trail.

Really, if you need one of these, your saddle needs to be reflocked or it just doesn't fit.But if you are like me and pick one up to hold off buying a new saddle, you might consider spending a few extra bucks and just picking up the full length one. The first time I used this, it repeatedly slid out from under my saddle. I spent the whole ride standing up and shoving it back up under the saddle. Seriously annoying.I solved the problem by stuffing it in a pillowcase and then placing it under the saddle, with the rest of the pillowcase laying normally up under the saddle like a pad. It stays under the saddle now, but I'd still say that the full length riser would probably be a better investment.Oh well.

Bought to help with an elderly rider's body alignment, this pad flew out from under saddle on first use. She was very lucky that her horse was sane and bombproof because it ended up under his hind legs at the trot. I would not recommend this pad. I then constructed a container for the pad that hooked with Velcro to the square pad below it. Velcro held, but pad flopped about on horse's back like a dead fish. We are no longer trying to make this pad work.

Arrived on time and quality product!

Hopefully it works better than it looks. Just got it today and dissapointed in the appearance. The bottom looks like it's been melted or patched up and not of great quality. It's a little softer than I'm used to for a riser pad. I'll have to try it out and see if it holds up.
