This counterweight is well made, looks great and fits really well with my Freevision Vilta M. I am able to balance my phone with a heavy case very well.

Counter weight does work but you do need to play around with it more to figure out where you should put the weight.Kinda wish that the weight was big heavier.

I don't hate it - its just not for me. I feel bad for giving it a lower score, but... I bought a different brand with longer weights and longer thumbscrew head and I like that one much better. Me personally. I have fat fingers and this one was too small for me to operate comfortably. So I returned it for the other one - I needed two. The quality is fine, just not my thing.

I bought this to use with my DJI Osmo Mobile while using the Moment Anamorphic lense, and its the perfect amount of weight for that or any of the smaller Moment lenses - it’s not quite enough weight to balance the Moment Wide lens. This setup clamps nicely to the gimbal with rubber-cushioned adjustment arms, and the weights stack via 1/4-20 threads, which also allows for convenient placement or storage of unused weights. I wish this set came with one more weight, but I’m still giving it 5 stars!

If you're looking to up your game as far as smartphone videography is concerned, you should seriously consider a gimbal. And if you use a gimbal, you probably want to add additional features like microphones and lenses. The only way to counterbalance those features is with weights that are designed to mount to your gimbal. For such a low cost, it's a no-brainer.

Perfectly. I bought an iPhone 8 Plus and was disappointed to find I had balancing issues. This little doohickey solved the issue. Only bummer is you cannot close the gimbal to pause it with the counterweight on. I figure this is a small price to pay to get to actually use my gimbal for my next trip.

I use this product for photography and it works as described.
