Minna no Nihongo Honyaku: English Translation and Grammatical Notes (English and Japanese Edition)

I got the book way earlier than the estimated dates which was great. It was packaged well so the book was safe. The spine of the book was a little loose, but its a used book so no complaints. The only bummer for me was when I went to my Japanese class with it, it turns out I have an older edition so it doesn't match up perfectly, but all in all, I'm glad I bought it.

It's one of two books needed for a college Japanese class. Good shape and stuff.

I worked in Japan for several months and went to a Japanese class while I was there and they used this book. It is very helpful for people like me who are starting from scratch because the vocabulary is very useful words and the grammar explanations are mostly simple and straightforward so I could get talking and understanding quickly. Now that I am back home I am ordering a copy for myself.

This book is really a good but there is a newer version of this book. I would recommand to buy the latest version.

欧米、ロシアから移住した初級学習者へのプライベートレッスンで使いました。それぞれ、いち早く日本に馴染み、仕事に就きたいということで、悠長に勉強している時間はありません。独学にも使えるよう、このテキストを選びました。「みんなの日本語」は、日本語の初級学習者向けのテッパンテキストですが、英語・中国語をはじめ、イタリア語やビルマ語までラインアップがあります。外国語の学習に慣れた学習者は、直接法よりも「読んだ方がわかる」というニーズもあります。実際に、あるビジネスマンは、どんどん独学を進め、文法はこのテキストで、実際のレッスンではロールプレイを中心に練習を進めることができました。また、教える側も、日本語を外国語として捉えながら、学習者の目線で教えるのに勉強になります。

中古とは思えない綺麗なものでした。使用感なし。梱包もしっかりしていました。日本語ボランティアの教室用に購入。基本的には日本語だけの直接法で教えていますが、この本を併用すると単語や分かりにくい文法を本人たちが確認しながら進めることができるので、効率的。

I bought this book for a friend who just arrived in Japan. I used to have this when I started learning Japanese 5 years ago too. It was quite helpful if you're guided by a teacher. I don't think this is something you would want for a self-study.
