The old fashioned Sakes IS FANTASTIC. I bought a newer version and was very disappointed with the notes and references. EVERYTIME I looked deeper into something, I was left with no answers. Not sure they would change something g that was fantastic before.I have a version from 1990, WHICH IVE LOVED FOR YEARS. Wonderfully full of helpful reference. The modern versions are terrible.This one IS WONDERFUL.

Finis Dake has compiled the most completely annotated version of the King James Bible ever produced. This is for the scholar more than the casual Church-goer. Even though the notes are simple, they cover in depth ideas and theories about the Bible and biblical history that may not be asked by common laymen. Questions about the earth's true age, evolution, prophetic meaning of names, and the nature of GOD are answered in this ground breaking edition. Beware that even the large print edition is small type. There are one half million notes in this classic work.

This is a big bible so I keep this size at home. Easy to read since it is the only Dake Bible with the largest font for notes other than the large print version (3 columns). It is the 4 column type which I love. So much wonderful deeper understanding with references from the notes. I have many KJV bibles and consider this the best. I would also recommend the Sword KJB and Swaggert's Expository bible. Grace and peace will be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ our Lord.

Was exactly like discribed without any defects.

The lettering is quite small. Too much on one page, however if lettering font was larger I would find it easier to read without squinting n I wear reading glasses.

This purchase was a jewel. My Dakes was lost at a conference and would cost me $200 to replace . I found this used leather bound one (bonded leather) in very good conditon for less than 30. I could not be happier. I do believe it was meant for me. I had looked on numerous sites trying to find one I could use until I convince myself to spend for one like the original bible I lost. Now I am not sure I need to since this one was in such good condition.

What a treasure. I’ve had Reference Bibles before but they don’t compare to this one. A Bible like no other and my go to on anything I need to know an answer to. King James Version is my favorite. It amazes me that one person could accomplish this feat in a lifetime.

Very good Bible, but I ordered the Dakes old and New Testaments; but was sent ONLY the New Testament. Was very frustrated and upset because this was sent by a 3rd party with Amazon; in which, I’ll never use again.
