Great for the Mason and Non-Mason alike
Masonic Trivia: Amusements and curiosities by Peter Champion is a book which certainly lives up to its title. Champion complied many odd facts, fascinating anecdotes, and unusual bits of history associated with the Masons. Obviously, such a book would be of particular interest to members of the fraternal orders of Masons. Your reviewer, who is not a mason but is considering becoming one, found Champion's book an enjoyable and easy read. The chapters are well-organized and the occasional picture or diagram breaks up the text. The reader, who is not a Mason, might have some vague notion that George Washington and other early Presidents were Masons, but some well known 20th Century actors were also Masons and Champion included their stories. But, the vast majority of Masons were ordinary men, or maybe just a cut above ordinary, as many were notables in their communities. However, for a select few, their lives as masons or the stories of their lodges merited inclusion in Champion's book. Whether their claim to fame merited a single paragraph or few pages of text, their stories are interesting reading for the Mason and Non-Mason alike. So for readability and its many interesting anecdotes, I give Masonic Trivia a strong four stars.A little of disclosure about my review is required. Your reviewer is a very casual acquaintance of the author, but the author did not request, nor have any input in this review. Further, if your reviewer joined a Masonic lodge it would be the same one as the author and casual acquaintance would become fraternal brother. Still it is your reviewer's custom to review every book he reads. There seems to be no reason to break with custom simply because of this potential affiliation

Interesting trivia
I haven't completely finished this book yet but have found it to be a fun little reader. There are some boring trivial items but that is balanced with a number of interesting facts. For a knowledgeable Freemason some of these will bring a, "Well I'll be...", kind of response. The author has a homey touch to his writing style which makes it very accessible to all. No secrets revealed, which is also nice.

It's a nice book. A bit dry at times
It's a nice book. A bit dry at times, but informative. I feel like the information is presented rather randomly, and that hurts the flow of reading. Otherwise, a dedicated effort by an author that clearly values the Craft.

Masonic Bullseye
masonic Trivia, was a lot more than the title describes , it brought forth a lot of facts and history of the Masonic brotherhood one would seldom find in the many tomes written and about the Masons, I could not put it down and enjoyed it tremendously and think it will come close to being a best seller in the world of Masonry , its infusion of humor and wit did not go unnoticed and was much appreciated and enjoyed, kudos to Master Peter Champion

Waste of money
Dreadful. Nothing amusing in it at all. Just uninteresting trivia. Save your money.
