This was my second time using this product. I used it in my hair and my daughter's hair (she is 12). This product has a very mild chemical action on the hair. It does not act like a texturizer at all. It softens your hair just a little and makes it more manageable, but your hair still looks ethnically the same. I have a 4c hair and after a month and a half I could not tell I had used any product in my hair. My daughter's hair is 4c very coarse. After using this product her hair is mildly soft and manageable. But the product is out after a month or so.One other important thing that I almost forgot to mention is that it modifies the color of the hair. Our hair is naturally black, it made it brownish looking.

This product worked exactly as advertised

My sister recommended this product after seeing great results but she bought hers in a departmental store in the UK so it was authentic but when I bought here, I followed the directions perfectly for a completely Virgin course hair it did not take five minutes before I started experiencing heat on my head. It took me a total of 23 minutes for both application and the less than five minutes wait time. I washed for over an hour with gallons of water the burning did not stop for 24 hours. Now my head and hair are fried and straight instead of my rich Afro hair I had prior. I only bought it because my Afro became too hard to comb but little did I know that this product has very harsh chemicals. Never again will I buy this

I used it today and I was mindblowned with the great results. I did not base my ears and nape of neck with the pink lotion (they changed the ingredients years ago so I don’t use it) that was in the kit I used Vaseline jelly instead. To each is own when applying the crème but the tip is use gloves and smooth it with your fingers to keep your curl definition when applying, I applied and sit for 8 mins total. It was giving mild relaxer and had a tiny tingle but wasn’t bad at all. Afterwards the RevitalEX conditioner in the kit (Luster’s Pink brand has that same conditioner which I had a big bottle of and didn’t need the kit’s package) wasn’t enough for my thick hair. The Afro gro crème is nice but wish S-Curl would make this separately. I recommend this product my hair is longer and very manageable the curl is popping when wet and does not give over process texturizer look at all and I’m not fist fighting with the Afro pick anymore! (🤣) this is a A1 product!

Not too harsh. Easy to use. Gives you lots of room for error.

Made my daughter Afro hair easier to handle when I spray wet it first! Leave hair curly, will buy again, she's 10 years left on for 10 mins instead of 20
