Works Well, Gets me 1Hr run time
Works as intended. I purchased it directly from Amazon and have had no issues. I get a run time of 1 hour with 20% load. Overall, it is better quality compared to the cheaper APC products. There is a service included which sends an email when there is a power cut and when power is restored, however, it becomes a paid additional feature. Good to have, but a service like that could be self-hosted.

Using as emergency power backup for tropical aquarium
I'm using my UPS to power 2 x 4 watt aquarium air pumps. I'm using it purely as emergency life support only. I don't care about filters, heaters or lights. I purchased the smart as it is 100% compatible with any pump or filter. With the UPS it is stated that I will get 6 hours runtime which is sufficient for any power outages in my area.UPS has a small foot print approximately the size of a shoe box. In fact as it was smaller than I expected I've placed it next to my PC on a shelf.Device is plug and play except you must power on the device to activate it. This is not obvious as the settings panel appears to power on when kettle lead is connected. This is missleading. The device is actually still powered off at this point.Once powered on the device sets up with default settings which appear fine for normal use.The device came with two outlet power leads that terminate in kettle lead ends and a short Ethernet network cable. There is no kettle lead for power and no way to plug a standard uk plug into the outlets? So I purchased a kettle lead. A 15 meter ethernet so I can wire it to my home network and two extension leads to UK sockets.Once wired to ethernet you can talk to the device and set up alerts to warn you if the power goes out which are sent to email. No issues with my APC. Is perfectly quite and cannot be heard.Setup easy and backup requirements meet my needs.UpdatePower test shows that the unit is more than capable of powering my two airpumps for the stated 6 hours. After charging APC for 24 hours unit has gone into green mode.My home temps are 23-25oC. Unit runs at 40oC running on batts and 28oC when in green mode. All working as intended.

Excellent quality UPS
This is a well designed and constructed UPS with many features, however I have had to return for testing after many hours on the phone to Apple and APC help lines my Apple Mac mini M4 pro don’t recognise it so it doesn’t work.It might just be a faulty unit or a compatibility issue .

Product Great but some initial challenges with cloud service
Product it’s self seems ok but I bought it for the cloud connectivity and tried to get it working and needed to email to fix - took a few days but is nowworking so I can recommend.

Decent UPS
Good UPS, able to link to portal to control various UPS remotely. Has kept network infrastructure up and running during power outages.

It is VERY VERY heavy - please be careful when moving it.
It is very heavy (27 kG or 59 lbs) so moving it is difficult. Unable to ascertain battery life, but documents suggest 5 years - not sure how they have determined that though. Buttons on the front are not easy to see unless you are at eye level, but they work well. Important to note that there is NO mains cable with it. You need to provide what is commonly known as a kettle lead. It is undergoing UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with a view to purchase a more powerful one in the event of extended loss of electrical supply. So far, an excellent device that hopefully will not need to be used very often. One other item - the documentation on the CDROM mentions PowerChute, however this software is not supplied on the CDROM. For LINUX users, I recommend the use of apcupsd that is available on the repositories and connection via USB is also advised.

Great unit, great features, Powerchute business and firmware update process is naff.
Using this unit to power a NAS, does the job perfectly. I had a back ups that died, opened it out and saw the components were quite cheap so went for a better unit. Also throwing the old one away wasn't something I wanted to do but it didn't have replaceable batteries like this one. A MUST is to buy the additional 3 yr warranty, the batteries on these last 3-4 years, a new set or batteries is more than the extended warranty (batteries are covered under it) so makes perfect sense. In addition it will give you pre-paid shipping and an extra 3 years on the unit (6 yrs in total).

Stupidly expensive
so good, i bought another one!. does the job, power goes off - APC kicks in and shutdowns my pc at the set time. the software interface isnt the best, clunky as hell, but it works for me. over the last 20 years i have been using APC ups's and never had a hardware problem, mostly the software side sucks a bit for noobs.
