Switch Insert Panel for Toyota and Mitsubishi vehicles

Looks like factory part.

This seems to be a great product but it didn't fit in the empty switch position in my 2017 Tacoma. It seems like it will fit in the two spaces that are already used by the power switch and window slider, but if you look closely at the photo, the empty switch space is bigger.

This can be installed in any direction. It’s hidden, so you don’t have to look at some ridiculous box that you would normally hit your knees on. It learns as you drive; and it’s easy to control with the twist of a knob. Just spend the extra money…

Dimensions are 0.880 inches wide by 1.294 inches high and the tabs extend in 1 inch as measured from the front of the plate. If you measure your blank insert and find this size, this is probably the insert for you. Note that the inserts go in from the front of the panel, but you really have to pull the panel apart to install. This is the first time I've ever done such a thing and I worried a bit working on an expensive and brand new car, but it was very easy. The insert fit perfectly and is worth the money. Note that the blank insert from Toyota has a criss-cross web in the back and would be tricky (but possible) to retrofit. Just buy this one and save the effort!

This insert fit perfectly into the empty slot in my 2013 Toyota Forerunner Trail.

Popped right into a blank center console switch in my 2017 Tacoma. I only had to remove the kick panel and center knee panel to install the controller itself, then popped the blank out with a flathead screwdriver. I pulled the control cable through with a long zip tie and then installed the knob and switch insert from the front without having to pull the whole center console panel out. The plastic doesn’t quite match the OEM Toyota plastic, but it looks way better than if I had tried to drill out the blank.This will work with a lot of late model Toyota’s as well as some Mitsubishi. Check the Redarc website for a full list. But it for sure works with 3rd Gen Tacoma’s and I’m very happy with how it looks.
