After seeing Propellerheads on my recommended list several times, I finally gave in and bought the Decksandrumsandrockandroll CD. Terrific choice! I loved the album from the opening song. Propellerheads are amazingly versatile and the range of styles and moods exhibited on this disc are astounding. The covers "History Repeating" (Featuring Shirley Bassey) and "On Her Magesty's Secret Service" are absolutely first rate. Other wonderful tracks include "Take California," "Velvet Pants," "Bigger ?," "Cominagetcha" and "You Want It Back" (Featuring Jungle Brothers). Lesser tracks, but still quite good, include "360 / Oh Yeah" (Featuring De La Soul), "Winning Style," "Bang On!," "Better ?" and "Spy Break." I find no merit in "A Number of Microphones" and I wish I could get it off the CD.I've now listened to this CD about 20 times and I thoroughly enjoy it. Some of the songs provide excellent dance music. However, the humorous banter and the aforementioned "Microphones" track don't stand up to repeated listenings and I'm left with the urge to edit the disc. Alas, this is a minor complaint and some listeners may actually enjoy this stuff. All in all, this is an outstanding disc and I'll be looking forward to their next offering.Gary Peterson

My husband is one of those guys who will put a CD in his car and let it play until we all want to kill him. Hence why I know EVERY song on the Mortal Combat 2 soundtrack, Repo Man Soundtrack, and Matrix soundtrack. Over and over. So I got him the Propellerheads CD, because Spybreak was his favorite song from the Matrix. Now he plays this one non-stop. But at least it's still somewhat new, and I really enjoy several of the songs.

the propellerheads are a pleasant surprise on the lounge music scene. the beats they whip up into their tunes are faster than usual, peppy and zingy. they are a perfect accompaniment for retail environments and luxury car advertisments.but as they make the heart race, they also listen pretty well. from the track 'black velvet pants' to the end, it's a great, jazz-infused ride featuring smaples from john barry and a vocal guest spot by 60s icon shirley bassey.

They were a very interesting duo that made very interesting electronic jazz-like and smooth sounds, ala James Bond movie themes and mood pieces. PLUS Dame Shirley Bassey. Well worth having in your library for rainy afternoons at home and cruising in your car on starry nights.

Shirley Bassey, James Bond, big beats. Very cool mix. Too bad they didn't give us more.

Contemporary for today, which makes it visionary in '98. Genius! Really good stuff here. Take it from me! And while you're at it, take California.

Less than a dollar and you couldn't tell from the way it sounds. Sure, it's used and some disc players may not be able to read every single track, but odds are you'll be able to play it anyway. For the price, it's worth a shot.

Only album they did and they hit it out of the park. Every song is dynamic, energetic, and creative - qualifies for my "all time" list

If you like great tunes, fat bass lines and clean drums, then this is the album for you! Excellent recording - listen through a quality stereo turned up high - the recording is impeccable. Album title says it all really. Fast delivery and good price. Very pleased.

Owned it years ago on cassette which died a while back.

I've heard of these guys for many years - can't believe it's taken me 15 years to finally buy the album - WOW! ...what a stonka!....playing it all the time now... it's just TOO good! I love it! highly recommended to anyone who likes funky happy grooves d'n'b hip-hop happy music! - can't sit still sort of music! ...SOOOOOOO good! ..superb! five big shiny stars! ...how did i survive so long without this crucial music??? my advice: BUY IT NOW!!! :o)

Bought this for my partner for Xmas he loves it

My fave track is the bond theme reworking, the album is worth purchasing just for that track. The rest is tip top too, but the bond theme is a real ripper - loud as possible in the car!! Nicely packed and quickly posted.
