Bookworm Wordy Wonder Bundle

While I will be the first to admit that this title is a bit dated when it comes to graphics, it is also a Great Group of Games! I purchased this as an educational tool for the women in my life. Now before you get all indignant about that please allow me to explain. My wife's side of the family has been cursed with dyslexia. This stretches back and forward from my wife to include her parents and grandparents, as well as her siblings, and ALL of her children, nine in total, save one. He was spared but he was the only one not to have to struggle with being able to spell due the curse that is dyslexia. I realize I used the word curse again but it is how I feel. The condition is not well cared for in our school system and the children wind up falling through the cracks far too often as a result.My wife and I have always been proactive about the situation and work with our two youngest girls, the last two still in school, in order to help them to overcome the malady. This software encourages the user to expand their vocabulary and requires that words be spelled and spelled quickly. The eldest of our daughters that is using this software also has additional learning disabilities, thankfully she is the only one, and the speed aspect of the program is especially beneficial to her. Our youngest has the mildest case of dyslexia amongst the afflicted children and for that we are grateful. On the same note however we also are very diligently encouraging her to read as much as possible and to increase her vocabulary. This software, by making that process a game, and encouraging reading, spelling, and vocabulary, as well as being entertaining and just plain old fun, is something that she loves to use. My wife uses the software herself to keep her skills up as even though she has learned to overcome her dyslexia still suffers from it and must work through it on a daily basis. Word games like this make that process easier and more fun.I myself enjoy the game immensely. I may not have the need for it that my family does, but that doesn't make the game any less fun to play and easy to enjoy. It can be quite funny in places and even frustrating at the highest levels.I highly encourage any parent to purchase this game bundle, its the best way to get the entire Bookworm experience. You will not be disappointed.

Good spelling game and works fine of Windows 7 or older. The kids like it. Wish they didn't have to "whomp" everyone in order to win, but the kids like it better than Scrabble, etc.

The 1st disc or the original Bookworm game was unreadable,, the other 2 discs were fine... I would like to get just the original if possible...how do I do this??? Return all three discs or what?? Thank you

I love the book worm collection. Bookworm adventures 1 and 2 are outstanding. I never knew there was a bookworm adventures 2 but now that I have it I can't stop playing. The first one I went through the book about 5 times. It took me forever the first time I played it to get to the end. Bookworm adventures 2 isn't as good as the first one but it's still a fun game. I am trying to get through the last part of the first book in adventures 2 and I am a little stumped. But I will keep at it! Two more books await me in this adventure. If you like spelling at the same time trying to get past your opponents then these are the games for you.

Can't find in any game store. Eight year old granddaughter already mastering 4th grade words. A game that is educational

I have tried several times to register the game and it will not allow me to register which means it will not allow me to play a full game.

the kids play this and i believe It helps them read a lot better. Hope for mor from this company.

This helped my son learn spelling. It’s very engaging for younger and older children.

An used CD that worked amazingly on my Windows 10 desktop that hinders CD/DVD's from opening. Was of the opinion that the purchase of the CD was just a gamble. Downloaded 3 Bookworm games smoothly 2 times. Also explored the trial games. Unbelievable!

Challenging and keeps your mind working as well as keeping your spelling abilities up. Enjoying it and would recommend it to others.

I like the game because it's not timed and if someone calls at a precise moment, I won't be cursing....Ha ha!If someone wants a hint to achieve better progress, the three chosen defensive mechanisms are not always as effective as they are introduced as being. I've had better progress with sticking to my basic favorites and ignoring the new "fancy" ones introduced in the higher levels.

Can't been found elsewhere (not that I could find). Price is high but the game is spectacularly fun and my kids love playing it (so good for their spelling :-). Comes in a nice box and the keys work.

It was exactly what I thought it was rather than playing the sample game on the web. I enjoy it and I use my mind to form words.
