Works beautifully, comes in many designs, affordable, and easy to use with an innovative design. Nothing but praise!
This umbrella/parasol was purchased specifically for the purposes of providing shade for me when I go out and about during the summer months. I'm pale and I dislike the feel of sunscreen, but I dislike sunburns even more and also like having shade to stay a little cooler, so I hopped on Amazon to find something appealing to use. Naturally, I saw a lot of choices and a lot of qualities quickly began popping up that all had pros and cons and all sorts of reviews. So, what ultimately drew me to this umbrella, over all the others I saw?✩ The "European garden" design looks BEAUTIFUL. It's just my kind of aesthetic and I think it creates a very lovely effect, especially since the design is on the interior of the umbrella. It's easier to appreciate how it looks and use it in an aesthetically pleasing way.✩ It's double layered, with the top layer being solid black, so it definitely blocks all the sunlight! The double layering also has holes to let the wind flow so there's less risk of a strong gust getting caught within the layers and ripping the umbrella through your hands.✩ It's suitable for use in the rain!✩ The reverse design has a lot of perks over traditional-opening umbrellas; I feel like opening and shutting it much less cumbersome and requires much less room, so it's easier and easier to use, thus preventing you from being exposed to the rain even more. I also like how due to the way it closes, the water-drenched side stays on the inside, away from you, but can still drain off the water and dry.✩ It's an automatic-open style of umbrella, so one push of the red button and it springs open, which means you can open it one-handed!✩ When closed (and not bound together with its little velcro strap) it is free standing, which is a perk I hadn't ever really thought about being handy, but now consider especially useful! It can be stood up to drain after it's rained or simply closed and set down if you need to free up your hands or don't want to bother with an umbrella stand.✩ The C handle is very nice to hold and is very versatile. It can be held a few different ways in the hand, depending on your preference, and since the opening is so big you can slide your whole hand through it and let it sit around your wrist (I also have rather large hands and a thicker wrist, so it's build big enough to accommodate different sizes of hands/wrists!) The little opening in the handle also allows for this umbrella to be hung up in closets on the bars for hangers or on a coat rack, just like J handle.✩ It comes with its own little carrying case with strap that matches the umbrella interior and is made of the same rain-proof material as the umbrella itself, so even if you slide in a wet umbrella it won't turn the case into a sopping mess.✩ It feels well made and sturdy; I've used it out and about a few times and I don't feel like it's so fragile that I have to baby it. For the price tag of $20, it definitely feels like it'll stand up to repeated use on sunny days or general rain. I don't know how well it'd do in extreme wind, but if you're not looking to brave storms in it, I'd say it functions perfectly fine and will hold up for longer than one season. Now, one thing I do want to mention is that this umbrella is one of those "made in China and sold in multiple listings by multiple sellers across multiple online sites" items, so if you search "reverse umbrella" you'll find multiple listings of this exact product, with the only variations being price tag, seller, whether or not its fulfilled by Amazon or has to come from China, and the design selection. So if you check through a few listings, you'll find more and more designs to pick from (I'd say there's maybe 30 total variations of patterns/colors/designs, if not more!) and at various price tags (between around $14.99 to $39.99) and if the design you want isn't available for prime in the first listing you look at, it might be in another listing, so definitely check through several! This happened to me; I found the design "European gardens" on another listing, but I didn't want to deal with waiting for it to ship from China because it'd take a long time and there's more chances for it to get lost/damaged, so I found a listing where the shipping was fulfilled by amazon and thus eligible for 2-day prime shipping. I'm glad I double checked because if I hadn't, I would have settled on a design I liked far less just because I was pressed for time and needed the umbrella by a specific date.I also have seen listings for a variation of the "reverse" style that has an I shaped handle, rather than the C, and a variation that folds down to be travel-sized, rather than remaining the full height/length of the pole when closed. I have not tried any of these, so I can't say if the quality matches up, but I just thought I'd mention it that you can find this style with a few different qualities if the handle or full-size nature aren't what you're after. And lastly, the cons/not go great things/things to consider:✘ Due to the way this umbrella opens/closes and the fact that it can be free-standing, it doesn't form a tip and can't be held in hand and tapped against the ground like a walking stick. So carrying it while closed can be a little cumbersome, since you probably shouldn't tap it against the ground as you walk (you'd be taping the ends of the umbrella spokes, basically, and I don't think that's especially good for them) and it certainly wouldn't be good to try to use it to support your weight at all while walking, so if you ever use a traditional umbrella as an actual walking aid, this one wouldn't do so well in that department.✘ It takes two hands and a bit of effort to get the umbrella back into its little carrying case, since it's essentially a snug little sleeve that have to get it over the not-tapered base before the whole umbrella slides inside. I feel like this aspect is the part I like the least; the carrying case should have been made a bit bigger (as in wider), which would give it enough allowance to easily and quickly be put back inside it.✘ I can't speak for other listings or sellers, but my particular umbrella has the seller's name "win gold" stamped in white lettering on both the carrying case and top of the umbrella itself, and since the top nearly every umbrella (regardless of interior design) is solid black, the white name and logo stand out. I wouldn't say it's huge, but it is a few inches long/wide and noticeable. It's not something I particularly care about, but it is worth noting that you might buy a version that's "branded" and doesn't just have a totally 100% black top.✘ You have to make sure the umbrella clicks when you close it, otherwise it just pops open since it's an automatic-open, so in the event that the little metal bit that clicks up to keep it closed wears away or breaks, the only way to keep the umbrella closed will be to wrap the velcro strap around it (just as a heads up)✘ I feel like since this umbrella closes differently that going to put the velcro strap around it to keep the pleats all together takes a little more effort, since if you crush them, the interior design will get rumpled/wrinkled. I usually gently pull on the end of the velcro to neatly fold and compress the pleats, then tug them flat after I've secured it. It's more work than what I'd put into wrapping up a traditional umbrella with its strap.Personally, none of these cons were especially bothersome or deal-breaking in nature to me, but I did want to mention them for others who might find the aspects unappealing or who simply want to be aware before purchasing what to expect. My overall thoughts of the umbrella are all quite positive! Since purchasing it I've had cause to use it three times already, and I really only anticipated using it for specific events, so it's already proven its versatility and usefulness. I think it looks absolutely lovely and I really appreciate how there are so many styles to choose from across the various listings. Not only do you get a useful, quality product, but you can also find one that suits you and your aesthetic preferences best; it's not just utilitarian (unless you want it to be; they do have a solid black/black version). In fact, if you're so inclined, you could buy several to use for different seasons or with different outfits or to match the preferences of different members of your household. Depending on the seller/listing, it can also be a very affordable option as both an umbrella and a sun parasol. I think the closer-to-$40 price tag of some umbrellas in some listings is a bit too much so I'd definitely check for better pricing before committing to a particular seller's listing, but the $14.99 to $25 range isn't bad for what you get, especially if you get a snag a design you think is appealing.

Durable and stylish, a must buy.
Living in South Jersey you have all kinds of crazy weather. I go through usually 3-4 umbrellas in a rain season because of the winds. This one however has proven itself to be different than those cheap ones you get at the store on sale. It rained today, all day, and I had stuff I really needed to get done. I pulled out this trusty umbrella for the first time ever, and it was worth the money spent for sure. It held up with the ridiculous winds we were having and it was great against the hard core rain also. I love that it is inverted so when you close the umbrella, you don't get soaked with the backsplash. If you need an umbrella that is durable, cool and inverted, this is the one for you.

Well Made and Pretty
It's a really well made umbrella.Pros:- Very high quality for its price point- Attractive colorful print (we got the maple leaves)- Windproof!Cons:- Handle shape is functional, but not for everyoneCool reverse folding helps you better control excess water when closing, but remember that the print on the underside of the umbrella is actually visible when closed. So keep in mind you'll see a lot of the underside when ordering! My girlfriend is very happy that we got a pretty one.

tad disappointed
I like it and the way it works, was just a bit disappointed that it doesn't curve down as shown, it's more straight like a bg plate, which still causes you to get somewhat wet on shoulders

... umbrella is absolutely wonder and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase
This umbrella is absolutely wonder and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. The design of the handle makes it easy to hold while using your phone, fumbling for your keys, etc. Also, the unique way in which it opens and closes make it easy to get in and out of your car in the pouring rain and keeps you drier than a traditional umbrella. I've not had to use it in a windy situation so I can't speak to how it holds up to that but it seems sturdy and well put together unlike other umbrellas I've had. The self-standing feature is helpful too.
