Very light, works great.
Standing for me is painful so I must sit whenever I can. I now own 4 of theses. I have one in each of our four cars. they are very light. Mine weighs 1.0 pounds. I have not experienced the problems others have reported in the almost 3 years I have owned them. I am 5'7", 190 lbs. At 22.5" folded, it fits easily in my large suitcase. I examined 11 tripod stools before buying this one. If you want light, this is the best one I found. The others weigh 1.7 to 2.2 lbs. UPDATED REVIEW: Purchased 10/1/17 at amazon. I measured it at 20.2" folded, 2.3" shorter than the old model. Unfolded total height is now 15.5" not 18", the item description was not changed to reflect this change. Weighs 15 oz (1 oz less) without carrying bag which I never use. It is now too low. I am returning this one because I now sit significantly lower than before. Pros: VERY LIGHT. strap is now snap together plastic, may be easier to carry on shoulder for some. Cons: Velcro to secure top together for carrying is now just Velcro, no D ring to help get it tight. Much cheaper, less useful. BIGGEST CON IS THAT IT IS 2.3" SHORTER. I prefer the taller ones. I will buy again if they make it taller or I come across a light one that is 18" tall unfolded.

Weak Fabric
One of the corners tore and gave way on the first use. This might, with the emphasis on might, be an OK stool for someone less that 200 pounds, but not recommended for anyone heavier than that. I wanted a light weight aluminum stool, but not a light weight fabric. The material needs reinforcement in the corners where the poles insert into the fabric. Fortunately, the failure did not result in an injury.

Cheap and Flimsy
If I could give it NO stars I would. I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He opened it on Christmas morning, and my adult stepson asked to look at it. I watched him open it (correctly) and sit on the stool. He was IMMEDIATELY deposited on the floor! One of the legs bent under his weight. REALLY? He weighs 170 lbs and this supposed to hold up to about 250 lbs! My husband weighs about 205. Soo.....great idea, positively awful execution. Will be looking at another brand.

Good Stool
I bought this to take to a 3 day music festival in Austin, Texas. It was light weight, easy to carry and really took a load off when we needed to.

Bad Fabric on seat
The fabric on this ripped out in the first 3 days of use. The fabric is junk.

Good
It's a tiny stool...work well for blueberry picking. Probably more comfortable for small behinds not sturdy for more padded rearends

Incorrect measurements!
Incorrl I purchased this stool precisely for its measurements! I am 6'5"and we required a little taller stool. The description states that it is 18in. The folded up length is 18 in. Unfolded it's more like 14 in.
