Not what it should be
People rave about this drone, but the truth is it's a big letdown once you use it. The build quality is great. The components are great. The look is okay. The functionality is where this thing falls off like an anchor off a cliff. They even dare to sell a kit that includes PFV goggles, as if you could ever use this thing in such a manner. You'd be throwing $100 into random yards, trees or lakes every time you launched one, due to the ridiculously poor video feed. After making the mistake of buying this thing, I started watching videos and found out there are dozens of better drones for the same price or less, so TELLO is a waste of money.

Buy it, the Tello is great.
This thing rocks. I bought my dad one for Christmas and after flying it around his house for a couple days I bought one for myself. It’s very easy to fly right from the start and it takes pretty great pictures for what it is. It works much better in a park or anywhere without interference from nearby wireless networks. The Tello is s great way to start with drones and I can’t want to upgrade to the spark next.
