Say Hello

I LOVE THIS BOOK! The simplicity of the illustrations and words are so powerful. Our Pre-K to 2nd grade school is getting "Buddy Benches" for our playground and I got my principal to buy every classroom a copy to read as an introduction to the concept of "loneliness" and what the Buddy Benches are all about. I'm very excited to use this book in my 1st Grade class!!!

My son loves it and he uses the lessons and teaches them to others when we are out its so cute

I have school-aged beginner ELLs memorize the book and read it while others reenact it. The topic is universal and the illustrations appropriate for a wide range of ages.

This book is a book of few words, but those few words really make an impact. Beautifully illustrated and such a powerful message. My two year old joins in with me when we read it together. I asked her to explain to me why she shouldn’t leave anyone out and she said ‘Left Out, No Fun’.This book is already making an impact and I highly recommend it. Book arrived in perfect condition and very quickly.

A beautifully simple book with a very powerful message. A dog, feeling lonely, asks a happy group of children if he can play. Soon he isn't sad or lonely anymore, but then he spots a young boy on the sidelines, wishing he could also join the happy game. He explains you just need to Say Hello to start making friends. With few words and simple mainly black and white illustrations it is a perfect book to teach the skill of friendships to the youngest of children.Highly recommended

Simple yet brilliant, allow kids to empathise with other children who have been left out.The illustrations are minimalistic yet extremely provocative.
