Great Budget Beater
For the price, this is hard to beat. I have rods that are better, but they are also 2 and 3 times the cost. For a budget rod this is plenty good. If you are looking for a seldom used rod, or something to use as part of a larger set, it is a great choice.

How can you beat this.
I have a Berkely 6'6' Lightning Rod I purchased a few years back because I like the feel of it and this is one of my favorite bass rods for largemouth and smallmouths, anyway I was looking at 100 to 400 dollar baitcasting outfits and guess what I found, the Berkley 7' lightning baitcasting Rod,many dollars less and to me the best bang for the buck rod out there bar none. You wont go wrong at these prices and the Quality is Superb.

Great Casting Rod!
I've used a Berkley Lightning Rod for several years now & for the cost they're hard to beat! This time I went with a 7' rod, it seems like it still has a great feel to it.

Disappointed
I was excited as I liked the feel of my rod when I attached my baitcaster and headed out. I was fishing off of a pier and on my third cast my reel went "plunk" into the water. It was a short 20 yard flick toward a pylon. I felt like an idiot, thinking how did I not tighten the seat. After hand retrieving my lure and reel, fortunately the line was still through the rod, I tried to reseat my reel and realized that the threads were stripped. Only rod in mylifetime to experience this. The first rod I received was in three pieces. I think that was fault of USPS and they quickly shipped a replacement.

Great rod!
Great rod! Did some night fishing recently and hauled in an 8.5lb largemouth bass along with 4 keepers around 2lbs a piece. Rod feels great, had no issues reeling in the big one.

Great rod
Great rod. Great action. I use mine for bass fishing carolina rigs and it's the only rod I'll use for that set up.

Nice rod
Defenitly heavy, has a nice bend! I have a lews carbon fire on it with 30 pound powerpro. Haven't caught anything on it yet but I'm sure it'll do great. It's a pretty rod for sure.
