Real PurityRoll-On Natural Deodorant

This is a non-toxic anti-perspirant that actually works. The joke is that people who wear "natural deoderant" always smell bad, but I think this one is the exception rather than the rule.The key for me with this one vs. all the other "natural" options is that this one is actually an anti-perspirant and not just a deodorant. I personally can't stand the dripping sensation I get when wearing a standard deoderant, and I hate pit stains. This has neither. I apply this one time in the morning and then all day I literally never feel any moisture in my pits, no matter how hot and sweaty I get or how much exercise I do during the day.So then the question is does it actually block odors? I have had multiple friends and family smell me and they all say that I smell good and don't have any BO, and I can't smell it on myself, so I have to believe it really works.If I had any downsides I would say I don't love that it's unscented, because it just smells like...nothing. That might be a plus for you depending on your preferences. Also it's very wet and takes a bit of time to try out, so what I found is that if I apply it and then put my shirt on over top, I often will get some white residue on my shirt. I found the best way to apply is to put all my clothes on first, and then put this on under my clothes at that point.

Real Purity is the REAL deal!! I’ve tried at least a dozen different natural deodorants, with varying degrees of success, and lots of underarm rashes until I realized I’m sensitive to baking soda. That’s actually how I came across this deodorant. Baking soda free natural deodorant options were fairly limited. Some I had already tried and was disappointed with, so I think I decided to try Real Purity because it said it was for sensitive skin because my pits still had the rash I got from the deodorant before I knew it was the baking soda all along. So that was enough for me to give it a whirl. I had little to no expectation that it would work the way it did. I was simply looking for an aluminum/ paraben, and later, sodium bicarbonate free natural deodorant that would do a decent job of preventing me from smelling like I worked my ass off at the end of a 12 hour shift, after working my ass off for 12 hours. Essentially, a natural deodorant that I could apply once in the morning after my shower, and would last through the entire day.Turns out it’s not so easy, but considering I’ve been using Real Purity exclusively for well over a year now, it was worth all the trial and error. This stuff works the time, and it works well. It doesn’t cover up or mask body odor, because It’s pretty much unscented, which is actually sort of weird when you look at the ingredients. But for the life of me I don’t detect much of anything, or it’s so subtle that you’re imagining it. I don’t know what alchemy and sorcery is at work here, but even when I’ve worked up a sweat and would be getting odiferous, I’ll remain a hot, sweaty mess, but my musk is so subtle that you’re imagining it. That’s my experience with it anyway. It seems that what works for some don’t work for others, hence the dozen or so that were fails with my body chemistry before I found this.

I switched to aluminum-free deodorants years ago since I work in breast cancer research and there are potential links to aluminum in deodorants and breast cancer. Although some I had tried actually did work as deodorants pretty well (Island deodorant, Native, Arm & Hammer Natural, etc.), they were only deodorants but not antiperspirants so my armpits were perpetually wet (I live in Florida). These brands kept odor under control under normal circumstances but I always had visibly wet armpits on my clothes.I finally decided to research further to find an aluminum-free deodorant with antiperspirant properties. I came across Real Purity Roll-on and then researched the safety of magnesium stearate making sure that I was not just trading one metal (aluminum) for another (magnesium). Magnesium stearate is considered safe so I ordered this product. I was so surprised that after a day or so, the armpits finally dried up for the first time in years! I travel a lot for work and have had zero issues with this product. I do wish it was available in a non-liquid format because of my extensive travel but the dry underarms are worth it. It does go on wet and you do have to wait a couple minutes for it to dry. I have not had any transfers or staining on my clothing, no rashes or reactions whatsoever and I have very sensitive skin. It is fragrance free and I have had no odor issues since using this product no matter how much I sweat (did I mention I live in Florida, lol?)I have since reordered the product and have used the product for almost a year now so I thought it was time to leave a review. Although this product is considerably more expensive than the other products I have tried, one bottle lasts a very long time (about 6 months so longer than the stick deodorants for me) so it is well worth the price in my opinion.
