Bang on thank you...... this is hard to get on vinyl now... as far as i know it is the only way to get R Kelly's - Up and Outta here... on Vinyl.. but you can still pick up the CD easy enough.. even here on Amazon...Check Up and outta here on you Tube...

I love Isaac Hayes’ 2000 version of his Oscar winning song. It’s got more funk and plenty of steam. I would use it for my iPod some day. Thanks Amazon.

I only recognised 2 tracks from the movie. The rest were awful.

As a stand alone CD, the SHAFT soundtrack contains good but unmemorable songs designed(as is the norm these days)to cash in on the movie. However, there are songs on the album which serve to raise the quality above average. These include Issac Hayes' SHAFT 2000 theme, Donell Jones' DO WHAT I GOTTA DO, R Kelly's BAD MAN and Alicia Keys ROCK WIT U. Overall, it's a perfectly welcome addition to most CD collections but considering the long legacy of SHAFT movies and songs, one can't help thinking that the album producers and artists could have gone the extra mile rather than resort to type.
