G-Sight Gen 2 Laser Training Cartridge 45 ACP

I wanted a laser to practice dry firing. Practicing with a laser gives you feed back on the smoothness of your trigger technique. You aim at a target and can see where you hit. If your trigger pull moves the gun, you will see a slash on your target instead of a dot. I have improved my trigger work as a result of using this laser.

I got this for my dad to practice with his 1911. We use the LaserHIT app on an iPad mounted to a tripod. It works pretty well with this app. My only complaint is that the O-rings fall of easily when removing it from the chamber and will sometimes get stuck, leading to us needing to disassemble the pistol to remove it.

I bought it expecting decent, have been pleasantly surprised. This isn't the one I would have gone with if I had deep pockets, but I don't have the slightest regret. Fits snugly and I recently laser bore sighted my Rugrer SR 1911 so I knew the sights were dead on and at 30 yards this was off within 1/2" (less when I used a sandbag). Snap cap is holding up well as are the included batteries...I've used this a LOT. No negatives at all so far. What I'd like to see is all the vendors include a snap cap replacement with these (I've got a different brand .40 cal for my other pistols, same thing there). I really don't see price being an indicator of usefulness or quality with these, and that's RARE for me to admit. If you can't find green in your price range then don't hesitate to buy this in red. Just don't expect to be able to see it in direct sunlight. It's a great practice aid for sighting and trigger pull. Just use it SAFELY...assume every gun is loaded and in battery.

Received my G-Sight Laser Training cartridge and downloaded the App set it up with an old tripod to hold my iPad (you need something to hold your iPhone or iPad) and started banging away.I love this system, it's a great way to work on muscle memory and other shooting techniques. The only bad thing was is with the App. It provides only one variation of target, a 10 shot load. G-sight does offer an unlimited shot and times targets but they are at an additional charge. I am now looking for other target app's that provide more options. Overall I do love the Laser training cartridge by G-Sigh and would recommend it to anyone seeking a way to practice when you can't get to a range.

This thing paid for itself within a week. Being able to practice at home on everything except recoil management is awesome. And because there is no ammo cost, I am free to also practice additional things I probably would not be doing at the range, like off-hand shooting. And I get the practice some things that I am not allowed to do at the range, like working on drawing my gun from a holster.I still need to go to the range in order to practice what I learned at home with the added complexity of recoil management.I highly recommend the G-Sight lasser bullet.One additional thing I love about having one of these things: I can get a little bit of practice in every night. I can only go to the range a couple times a month, so being able to get unlimited practice time at home is very much appreciated.

The first time I used it was on Wednesday, and the back cap is broken on Monday. It only lasted for 5 days, 2000 dry fires. A replacing back cap is another 20 bux, which I have no interest in.The seller said the warranty only covers first 1000 shots ( that's one way of saying the manufacturer knows their product won't pass 2000 shots.) and the seller is offering me a partial refund if I return it. The seller’s customer service is alright. It's the product I don't like.The laser is off centered. But not necessarily a bad thing. Since it has o-rings, it stays put in the chamber. And you can learn how to adjust your sight picture. A good practice for that.Overall. Good value. But if you practice heavily, be warned.

This thing is awesome. Firing pin activates and doesnt constantly stay on like the others. Greatly saves battery life.App is good too. You can head to the range anytime, anywhere you want. All you need is a way to keep your phones camera fixed at a target and the app records your shots.
