These snips are just what I needed to snip threads close to the fabric without damaging my project. At first I was using them near the tip and thought they were not cutting as well as I would have liked. But then I started using the middle of the blades at the most curved point. This places the blades closer to the fabric to snip the thread at the base. Does a great job. I can get in really close to clip the top and bobbin threads for free motion quilting after locking my stitch. The cushioned grips are really an added comfort feature--warm and soft. Just get 'em!April 7, 2014After using these for a while, i find the serrated blade exterior to be a hinderance in some instances. Also the tip does not come to a sharp point. I'm can't imagine why the outside of the blade would be serrated. When I try to use it to get under the threads to cut unwanted stitches, the serrated ridges get hung up on the thread making it difficult to get the blade under. Same with the cut off/filed tip. I don't see why the company felt it necessary to blunt the tip. Customers purchasing this product would certainly know how to use scissors safely. :-/I still recommend these snips especially for machine embroidery and quilting. But I do wonder if they are available somewhere without serrated edges and blunt tips. It would make my work easier!

Loved these so much I ordered 3 more of them. Easy to use, very sharp. Don't have to struggle with trying to get my fingers through the holes in my scissors. Quick and easy to use when doing hand embroidery.

This tool seemed so cool because it was curved (keeping the risk of snipping fabric minimized) and because it is spring loaded (making multiple snips possible)... turns out it doesn't cut thread, it just shreds it--with some effort. Wish it was a clean cut, can't thread a needle with the thread it cuts.

This is my second pair! Loved the first but these just aren’t sharp enough!

These are just wonderful for snipping threads on my embroidery work. They get up very close to the work and snip the thread without damaging my embroidery design. I even bought a pair for my friend who also does embroidery work and she too loves them. Highly recommend them. Tool Tron, well worth the purchase.

These are excellent scissors. Very hard to find. I use them all the time. Perfect for machine embroidery. told my friend about them, she purchased them and was very pleased with them.

Ordered 3 pink (the only option available and a color I like), got 3 green. Very disappointing!!! I have used the Easy Kut nippers for years and love them, but never would have chosen green.
